I have read on newegg quite negative reviews on the integrated chipset motherboards. Ranging from terrible QC to overheating integrated GPUs that can't even run 1920x1080 resolution. Any truth to this?

Thanks, didn't see those reviews :) but they are kinda over my budget. For that kinda cash I will look for different upgrade paths.

What about the Intel G41 chipset? I've been looking at this board:

I'd say the mobo is reading from the diode and not the CPU socket. My diode reads at around 48-50c when idle and can reach up to 75c when fully loaded, while the socket is 36c when idle and around 43c when loaded.

Nothing to worry about in my opinion.

Enermax PSU Whine - Enermax 350W (regular one), Barton 2600+@stock speeds, ASUS A7N8X-X mobo, Radeon 9800NP Sapphire (OEM version). Real high pitch whine came from the PSU. When Radeon was removed the noise stopped. So I switched to a HEC 300W that I had around. The whine stopped from the PSU, but ...

Silencer <> Tornado?

Was wondering what the main difference between the seasonic tornada and silencer was. I mean, I thought that a 120mm fan was better than just one 80mm? And the silencer also has a very restricted intake. What am I missing? Please shed some light on the subject :)
