i have the 1692wmli and i'm pretty happy. The fan doesn't run at all if you do light work or on idle. The laptop gets pretty hot that way though. If you start to do heavy work, the fan kicks in but the noise is quite acceptable. The laptop stays cool too. The fan in high-speed mode (just had that a ...

i also have a dual xeon 2.4 machine. before i switched to watercooling, i had these as cpu coolers: Swiftech MCX603-V. They take 8cm fans and are designed to fit right next to each other. If you want it really quiet, watercooling is the way to go. My machine is nearly silent with one 12cm case fan a...

does anyone have experience in using an Innovatek Konvekt-O-Matic Convection Radiator? I'm wondering if this better than the reserator 1. I'm still undecided between the two. Which one would be more silent? i have one innovatek konvekt-o-matic maxi to cool two Xeon 2.4Ghz processors. It works well ...

Cool, that's good to hear. Would you say the pump is as quiet as a good low rpm 120mm fan? What are the specs on the machines you run the bigwater kits on? And what kind of temps do you get? I have a 120mm silenx laying around that I might use. hard to say if it's as quiet as a low rpm fan i have m...

If anyone has a BigWater kit, can you tell me how quiet the pump is? Most review sites don't touch on the noise level of the pump. They just say that it's "quiet". i have two BigWater Kits in my folding machines. Both pumps are quiet, at least quieter than the rest of the machine. I had a few occas...
