Unfortunately our host site Futuremark.com has no interest in Folding@home, so we get no advertisements on the front page, no links from the Main FAQ, just a li'l forum at the very bottom of the main index. Any recruitment threads in other forums are moderated and moved. Many good folders have gott...

Oh well - shall see if I can hoard some more hardware somehow or so ;). As per the F@H EULA, make sure you are authorized ...

Yeah, but if Ramdom and I ducted our intakes to the outside we'd be pulling in air with a temp of 95-110°F for six months out of the year. That wouldn't help our system cooling at all. I understand that - that's why I was saying the comparison was not valid. Even in the middle of the summer, the av...

Do not be deceived by the summer in Vancouver. Vancouver is always dry especially in summer when we don't get that much rainfall. The only thing hot is the sunshine, but air is still plenty cold. This you'll feel when you're in the shades. I must have had bad luck when I was there - I recall a few ...

Having visited several times, Vancouver can get pretty hot and humid in the summer.... What are your plans when that happens ?

Arguably my system is quite different in that it's a desktop case, so my experience might not be overly relevant, but I added an intake fan right in front of my hard drive, and its temperature dropped by about 10C. OTOH, my MB temp went up about 6C. There's still a few configurations I want to try b...
