Has anyone had an opportunity to play with one of the Z87 Asrock boards?



It looks like these have pretty solid bios based fan controls (unlike the Asus and Gigabyte board Z87 boards I have used)

Fan settings are not being written to the bios for me.

nf-f12 is really more of a low pressure case fan. Actually, that's not the case. Asus for bios purely isn't that great either, asus becomes really good with FanXpert, imo better than everything in the market in terms of fan control. Unfortunately the controls from within the BIOS itself are still really terrible. I think I might try an Asus board instead.

Hey guys. I picked up a pair of these Macally housings Unfortunately they rattle and vibrate a lot. The drive is hard mounted to an aluminum rack which slides inside an aluminum shell. Its really pretty intolerable sometimes. Anyone know of a external housing that decouples the drive from the housing?

Well, its a medium speed ball bearing fan.. So I would not expect it to be terribly quiet.

Why not grab some Yate Loons @ jab-tech for 3.50 each?

I am building a HTPc system in this case. Surprisingly the case has really a awesome cooling potential. I will be posting some stuff in the gallery soon, so look for it there.

Sound can be very hard to pinpoint in a case, so make sure it is infact coming fro mthe PSU. If it is email Antec and get a replacement sent.

Bad idea to use thermal adhesive. If you use that you will never be able to get the sink off.
