You're sure a 430 watter will provide enough juice for two 7800's? What's the wattage on those things - are they hotter or perhaps about the same as a 6800 Ultra? And what about a dual core CPU? I think I'd like a 430 more because I want to be as close to what I need as possible so I can be as effic...

How much PSU?

My motherboard failed a couple days ago and I decided it's time for a new computer. I've been reading about all the new PSU's out there and want to make sure my new system will have enough juice. My old PSU is the Seasonic SS 400 w. A very great PSU, but it lacks some connections I need. I've alread...

Good luck with it. Mine has been outstanding so far!

It was kinda hard to find this PSU, but I got it from a link somewhere here in SPCR. The store was in the North West somewhere... Oregon or maybe Washington. I've got the name on my home computer. Ken, my rig is quiet.... Not to the extreme some of you "enthusiasts" will go to. However, I don't hear...

I added up the power consumption from this site: http://www.jscustompcs.com/power_supply/

The 92 is a side intake.

The revision is A1. What's the difference between A1 and A2? Shoot, I didn't even know there was a difference.

When I don't o/c my system, it's not too power hungry. 400w is probably plenty. When I max everything out, I'm pushing about 385w. As far as revisions, I'm not sure. The box states it's v.1.3, but that's the only thing I see that would be considered a "revision" though. The fan is spinning. It's har...

Seasonic Super Silencer 400w

I bought and installed a SS 400. I can't tell if it's working right or not. It's extremely quiet. I heard the fan wasn't that great, but I swear I can't hear a thing.... this is my concern. I can't feel any air being blown out. I think I might feel something, but if so, it's barely moving the air. I...

The AMB allows much better air flow over the HDD area, which I believe helps keep things cooler. It's got to save you at least a couple degrees. The nice thing about the Coolcases D8000 is they do a lot of the modding for you. They'll even turn down the fans to 7v if you ask them. I purchased their ...

I finally decided to go with the SS400 tonight. It was a hard decision, but I figured the Seasonic's 80% effeciency rating will pay for itself over the course of a year or so. I checked the NX-series and it's only got a rating of 65-70%, which is still very good, but that 80% rating is just too good...

Well I, for one, have racked my brain over this topic. I'm very close to either the 3500 or the SS400. I think the Nexus looks dang cool and is cheaper, but the SS is rated higher and based on the reviews sounds quieter.

I don't know which one to pick!

I swear... I've spent HOURS in here the last week. What a great site this is. I think I'm going to go with the Seasonic and hope I get a good one. I'm very tempted to buy one from Mike, but I just can't get past the voided warranty. Plus I want to give 400W a try as I begin to o/c the hell out of my...

Help me pick one.

Hello. I'm new to this site and boy am I ever glad to be here. I've learned a ton just from reading this site the last couple of days. I was all set to purchase a Seasonic Super Silencer 400W PSU based on Recommended page. How up to date is the list? I noticed a lot of quiet PSU makers weren't up th...
