I recently splurged on a new Evercool Plastic Fan for my Fortron 350-60, it had the same specifications of the Evercool Aluminium Fan but for half the price! Turns out that it was way louder than the stock Yate Loon fan (both fans were running on 5v) with horrible clicking and bearing noise (bad sam...

I've cut out the exhaust stamped grill on my lian li (with nail clippers, took a while) and it has dropped my case temp by 3°C, btw my fan is the stock adda low speed fan. I put a standard metal chrome grill over the hole and i think this reduces the airflow noise...acting as sort of a muffler trapp...

The reason (i think) Windows takes longer to load is beacause of the precarious angle at which your hdd is. Ideally it should be perfectly horizontal or vertical (I have a lian li case and i just removed the hdd cage altogether and layed the hdd on some foam  ) And another point, clean those w...

The main reason i bought my fortron psu (apart from the noise level) was because of the 120mm bottom inlet fan sucking heat from the cpu area, as suggested by AMD...flipping it upside down would go against AMD's suggested airflow path. But snice we're aiming for quiet operation, i.e slow spinning fa...

if you want the fan to spin quietly all the time, hook it up to a fan controller, cut the fan wires off the psu pcb and and splice it into a molex or 3pin connnector wire and put the connector into your fan controller. I've hooked up the 120mm fan in my fortron into my sunbeam controller and run it ...

Disappointed :(
On the way to a slient pc i bought a Fortron 350-60PN (Maplin code A07BF) at the same time i bought a Sunbeam Fan Controller. Upon hooking up the Fortron i found it to be quiet, quieter than my generic 350W psu, except when i put the system under load the fan ramped up and was equally as loud as the...
