Re: SPCR Folds Team Blog

Congrats to SPCR for passing 2ch@ps3 earlier this week!
And a standing ovation to colm for 10 years with the project -- nearly as long as Dr. Pande himself. :)

Congratulations to all of the silent crowd on another quiet but decisive overtake. Onward for both our teams then, toward the citadel of "sound and fury, signifying nothing". We of Team Mac OS X will be following your stealthy progress (and sharp wit!) over the coming weeks as the battle is joined. ...

Re the EOC stats - thanks for passing along the request, David. I went over and checked out the thread after reading your post. I don't agree with Jason (an aborted WU still shows a folder's intent to participate, which IMHO should count toward activity) but in the end it's certainly Jason's call. R...

You can see the fine points of the folding-stats display update if you look at p2p-community's new members. The only grayed out new members are those beginning to fold before 4/05 OR the one poor soul who returned an unstable work unit and earned zero (rounded) points for it. David, since you're in ...

David, did you quote it already? If so - thank you! Right now, looking at stats for new folders on our team, it appears that some of the problem has already been fixed. The "production prediction lines" for folders who started on April 6 and later go upwards at the weekly rate of the points per week...

Nice idea David - it would be a valuable feature for any actively-recruiting team. But: the EOC stats are a little weird for new folders. As far as I can tell, the user graphs don't activate until a folder has posted work units on more than one day, and when there is a delay of a day or more between...

Thanks for a great run, SPCR. We move onward now to Elegantly Out Class EOC, Knock out the Nits, and Focus on Futuremark, but we won't forget you guys. How can we, when you are right on our heels pushing us? (as we were on yours not too long ago) See you on the stats pages! With best wishes, susato

More food for thought - When I started folding nearly 6 months ago both teams were producing on the order of 15 to 17K ppd. Now both teams are in the 28-30K ppd range. Almost doubled our productivity in that time. (Sure wish I could get those kind of returns in the stock market) Viewed another way, ...

You silent types are really hanging in there! Your recruiters all deserve congratulations for bringing in crowds of new people - many of them with some serious folding muscle. Your energy, resolve and competitive spirit represent the very best of Folding. My hat's off to you. Best wishes to all of y...

We saw red over at Mac OS X too - ours, like yours, because of WU bunching when the Stanford servers recovered. It wasn't exactly a glitch the way Free-DC and UH-Manoa's stats are. We actually posted those WUs and points. Who'd have thought that being "in the red" would be worth celebrating? But it ...

Zyzzyx's excellent graph, which I had bookmarked, seems to be lacking graphics for the last couple of days. It was always a pleasure to check it during the recent phase of the competition. Sure would be nice to have it back, seeing as our two teams will be chasing each other up the ranks. (hint, hin...
