This might be right for the slower versions of geode, the 1 and 1.4GHz versions are Thouroughbred-CPUs which are running at lower frequency and Vcore. If you don't believe, just compare the cpuid - it's the same. :wink:

My mod only covers point 1 and 3 - cheap and easyly undone.
Yours is the fast and easy way.

But one question i have. Are the fan screws touching the metal bracket or are they fully decoupled (bigger hole than original, ..?) :?:

@ MikeC I'm glad, that at least one tester can understand my problems with the Zalman. :D All reviews, i read, in Germany are very positive about this cooler. Everyone says it's nearly inaudiable @5V - and no problems with the vibrations mentioned. :cry: To your solution of fan-decoupling: I prefer ...

Zalman CNPS7000A Silent-Mod

Because my Zalman7000A @5V was the loadest part in my silent-pc, i decided to decouple the fan in this cooler. Take a look, if you want to silence your Zalman: :wink:
