Because I only use my computer for 2d purposes and the matrox g450 gets rather hot, I'd really like to be able to make it run a bit cooler.
Is there any information out there on how to change the clock speed of the
matrox g450?
Thanks in advance.

As for whether and AMD 64 version will be available: "We are going to make a accessory for A64/A64FX installation, but currently I am not sure if this part will be available when XP-120 debuts. Please stay tune on our website since we will update it as often as possible. Thank you for interesting in...

Thanks for the information acaurora. Oversea shipping is not really an option for me though, too much hassle with shipping and customs.acaurora wrote:You could just go to www.excaliberpc.com... they sell the A3s. That's where I got my 460W from, and it's SWEET

For quiet, one fan is better than 2... If you can keep the fan from ramping up (by keeping the case cool enough and/or ducting the CPU heat straight out), then the Tornado or Silencer are very close. But in general, bottom-mounted fan PSUs tend to draw more heat from their environment (usually righ...

MikeC, since you seem to have used both the rev A3 Super Silencer, Rev 3 Super Tornado and the Enermax Noisetaker: which PSU would be the best for silent computing? I will most likely be purchasing a 300/325 watt model and will not be putting an awful lot of strain on the PSU (A64 3000+, Matrox G450...

Low power, dual screen video card
Hello everyone! I'm currently building a studio computer and I'm looking for a suitable videocard. I will be using the videocard for 2d applications only (although it's not a problem if the card has 3d, but it's just not important that it performs well in 3d). I'm looking for a videocard with the fo...

Couldn't we take an Intel P4 3.0 and AMD64 3000, grab a mb for each using the same manufacturer (like Asus), use the same heatsink manufacturer (like Thermalright or Zalman), and test them in the same case with everything else being the same? If you ran them at full load you should get some good nu...

Doesn't it get very dusty inside due to the lack of filters? I'd say a nice mod would be to bring up the cpu-duct intake up 120mm and adding some sort of filter. The end of the duct (cpu side) should remain the same diameter though. I expect that this would result in approximately the same cooling p...

And then there's this, which is even better (than MCX-64). But it is yet to be determined whether either of those can outperform Thermalright's upcoming SP-98, or even Zalman's already available CNPS-7000A-Cu/AlCu sinks. -Ed Well I for one would be very interested in a roundup of all the heatsinks ...

If you can purchase components from the U.K. and have them shipped to you, you might want to consider AcoustiProducts' AcoustiFans. I don't know if they're available in your area, but I personally prefer PSUs with 120mm fans, and the Fortron FSP300-60PN is pretty popular, and uses a 120mm fan. I kn...

Do you think that removing the currently used duct and replacing it with one running from the 120mm rear exhaust fan onto the cpu heatsink would offer equal cooling performance?
