GPU cooling design needs some radical change as the amount of heat created by these Uber cards is getting silly

My GPU idles at 50c and it has a PCI X-fi 1mm below it so I have no idea how it gets any air

I think external heatpipes extending out of the back of the case would be great 8)

My Nec 3520a is loud when burning @ 8x or full speed reading. If it's being used for DVD playback try Nero DriveSpeed. I can use it to adjust maximum allowed speed and spin down times. set it to like 2x or 4x for DVD and you'll be good. I have the same drive and it makes a noticeble annoying rattle...

Its not a fan as when its powered down the fans continue to run and the clicking goes away, i tried running valve stress test and the noise increased a lot :shock:

Im not gonna risk using it anymore and its going back to OCUK
