Nice case that is easy to build in. I'd prefer the alternate variant without the window.

Re: SilverStone Temjin TJ08-E: MicroATX Evolved

The funny part is how this resonance came out of nowhere. I changed the video card to a Gigabyte GTX 660 Ti about 10 days ago. The problem was not there yesterday. It started today when I powered up the system. There is no apparent resonance in the side panels. Touching them results in no change. It...

Re: SilverStone Temjin TJ08-E: MicroATX Evolved

My case just developed a noise like a high-pitched fan whine. If you simply touch (and hold the touch) the case on top about 3-4 inches from the front, the noise disappears. The noise is actually diminished by touching the right area and then removing your finger. I poked around the edges of the top...

Re: Corsair Obsidian 550D = P280 done right?

I added my system specs above. I could add a side fan (and the fan would be on the side of the case away from me) but have had good luck with rear top fans running at 5v and have never been bothered by any noise from them. This case lets you easily test both fan positions. The front of the case is u...

Re: Corsair Obsidian 550D = P280 done right?

btw... I finally got around to moving to the 550d. It was a very painless move. I'm starting with the fans that came with the case. I'm running the front fans at 5v and the rear fan at 7v. The case sits on my desk to my left and is very quiet. I might play with other fans later. I also might install...

I have a B25F and it's a beautifully designed case. Little effort was required to make it into a reasonably quiet case. I replaced the fans with Noctual fans and used the Noctua adapters to slow them down. I used only the front top fan slot and the rear top fan slot (and the rear fan). I closed the ...

You probably would be fine with just a 7900GT and getting a NV5v3. This combination is what I'm running and it works fine. Note that the NV5R3 is not designed to fit the 7900GT. I had to make two mods. The cutout in the shroud above the fan power plug socket needs to be enlarged a bit. And the shro...

Re: XP-120 loose with A64 chip?

There's a sample of that Soltek board here in the lab that I've been exploring, and it appears the board accesses the 2nd thermal sensor in the A64 -- and maybe the first as well. I built a system using the Soltek SL-K890Pro-939 last week and have run into this issue. The bios gives one reading and...

Hello, Just received my NX-3500 PSU from endpcnoise.com. I opened the box to find there was no manual or power (wall) cord. Is this normal? I've never purchased a PSU outside of a case before. The PSU itself is sealed in bubble wrap, and the box was crinkly-shrink wrapped. Also, the PSU, um, 'smell...

I was wondering if anyone had this case http://silverstonetek.com/products-tj03.htm or has seen it up close. I think that the TJ-04 has much more potential to build a quiet case. Right. I've got one not much bigger than a tack hammer with a plastic head on one side and a rubber head on the other. You can knock the heads off the top rivets with one blow from the side using the screwdriver as a chisel.
