Thanks Ralf. I've searched and that's what people are saying..however finding one with Nidec is very difficult. Perhaps B&M is the way to go here...
Followup question... which drive sizes have a single platter?
Thanks again.

cuda 4's clicking..I need a new drive but I'm afraid>:(
I have the quietest HD ever I think a 40gb seagate baracuda. but poor me, it's dying because it's clicks intermitantly now. Never made any noise before but it is about 3.5 years old everyday use so I suspecting death is all but imminet. So what the word on the SPCR street for quiet HD? Space does'nt...

Worth every penny. Some people don't understand silent computing and being surrounded by beautiful things (like this comp) is all part of harmony with life. Why do people buy 800K homes, hire Feng Shui or interior designers for thousands? Not because they need them, because they want harmony. This c...

When a real review comes out, ie temps/loads/times from a real review site like this one or procooling.com or overclockers.com and if it performs I'm on it. They have been floating this case around since comdex at least...almost a year and it's still not available at any retailer... this makes me ve...

I think I'm going the "giant passive Zalman water radiator" route for my next build, but these are interesting. I'm just not convinced that fanless is a realistic build choice for cost, safety, and performance reasons. Mostly cost, actually :D I've been thinking about a fanless system for awile and...

One thing I was thinking about in my dreams last night was how about mosfets, capacitors and memory on the boards which get very hot? You can actually feel the heat on my abit nf7-s mosfets and I HAVE air flowing though case. This case has no air flowing which could lead to great instability. Perhap...

Thanks Ken for bringing this case to our attention. Funny thing is, it just occured to me this last week that a company should come out with a case where the case itself was used as a heatsink. It makes terrific sense. I demand royalties !! :D Geeze, I just spent a whole wack of cash on a modified ...

We're all familiar with the case, but I think that for us, it's difficult to justify purchasing a case that costs more than the internals. I know that for me, this case won't work with my setup, since I like to run dual processors. Also, from an aesthetic viewpoint and based on the pictures I've se...

I have no idea how voodoopc.com is costing so much. I confiqured this exact system at both places and Voodoo was $4724 while Newegg/directroon was $2697. Assembly/warranty and nice paint job I suppose makes up the $2000+ difference. Needless to say this will be very close to my next system. I'm so t...

It appears I may have to drop the AMD fascination though since most all these systems are pentium based. No need, similar results can be obtained with AMD CPUs of similar wattage, plus they're more often undervoltable/underclockable. I'd go with A64, I think it represents the best silent hope for s...

Others may feel differently, but I feel that a 600w PSU is not necessary. If I were buying one for the computer components you have listed, I would get a 350 - 400 watt quality brand PSU. Since you are not going to use the power supply, you can save a couple of bucks and get the Ever Case 4252 with no power supply (available for $45 including shipping right now at Newegg).
