nForce2 IGP Motherboards Squeal

Both of my nForce2 IGP motherboards, the Shuttle MN31/N and the Biostar iDEQ 200N, squeal worse than anything in the world. This is not a power supply problem, but a coil problem that is on the board I've singled out. Do not buy either of these products if you value your hearing.

MikeC - You're Not The Only One

I can relate to you MikeC! I originally made a computer with Shuttle's µATX MN31/N nForce2 IGP, and the components squeeled like a pig. I bought a Biostar iDEQ 200N, thinking that it'd get better with a different board, but it only got worse. I was so incredibly pissed off that the Biostar also had ...

Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer Revision 3 + Barton 2500+

I'm looking to make my computer case as slim as possible, and the Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer Revision 3 would look to be a really good choice as it's pretty low profile and is of slot type construction. My two questions are would this work for cooling a Barton 2500+, and since my motherboard is pos...

The motherboard is a small nForce2 IGP board I ripped out of my Biostar 200N system. This has onboard GeForce4 MX video. I am in need of getting a DC-DC power supply because I need the absolutely smallest size for my custom case I'm building for it. Right now I've got my AMD Athlon 2500+ Barton runn...

DC-DC Power Supply

I'm looking to get a DC-DC power supply from http://www.dc2dc.com/, but don't know what one to get. My system that I'm using is an AMD Athlon XP 2500+ Barton in an nForce2 IGP with 2 sticks of 256 MB DDR400. This system also includes a 3.5" hard disk, but that's it. There's nothing else in my system...

Crazy Power Supply Question

I was wondering if there was a way to take a single high quality power supply and use it to power two seperate computers? I know this wouldn't be advisable for high end setups, but I'm not going to be using anything of the sort, seeing as though both computers will be pretty low end. Thanks for your...
