I think you should use a 5V for your fan to reduce the speed therefore your sp94 clip won't vibrate too much.

My thanks to Luminous and sthayashi,

Luminous: I see that you are using 2 80mm case fans @ 7V. Does the fan create noise ? I notice some member suggested 5V for the case fans. Some even use Zalman Fan mate to control the rpm speed. For your Sapphire 9600, which Zalman heatpipe do you use?.

I use the Prime95 and tested with my Abit nf7-s, Barton 2500+, Corsair 512mb 3200 memory, radeon 9800pro 128mb.

It took me 12 hours.. to wait for the torture test.

My Thermalright SLK-900(A) with 2500+ Barton

I have a AMD 2500+ Barton AQXEA and use a Thermalright SLK-900(A) heatsink, Artic Silver 5 thermal paste, and a Panaflo fan. The temp reading on my CPUIdle software is 41-42. Is it normal ? Does anyone experience any lower temp than mine ?. Does anyone have any idea how to lower the temperature ? Do...

You could try using the foampad.

I think Its quite wasteful to use any acoustic damping UNLESS you hear significant vibration, then your only EFFECTIVE choice is the AcoustiPack.

If you wnat to invest your money well I think you should consider buying a Antec Sonata, Antec P160, Lian Li, or a Chenbro case. An Antec and P160 will provide you with a front filter that is very easy to clean. Antec only gives you 1 Antec 120mm fan. The Sonata comes with a Antec True Power 380 PSU...

hi bonko, I am using Antec P160 case. The temperature sensor of my case shows the exact temp. I use CPUIdle software and compare with my case temp and it's ok. Maybe you connected the wrong cables. Better check the manual again or ask the local retailers about your problem. I am sure they would be g...

Replacing it with Panaflo ? I agree with you.

Maurizio XP, The choice is up to you. I personally have tried Antec True Power 380w and the Seasonic Tornado 400w. The Antec came along with the Sonata and the Seasonic Tornado I use it with my Antec P160 casing. I have no problems with noisy fans. Eventhough Seasonic Tornado uses a 120mm fan at the...

Hi Vegita,

Papst is a good stock fan. Actually its fairly quiet. Try the 255 M that has a 5dB noise pressure level or the 405 F running at 5400rpm and has a 22dB noise pressure level.

I heard that the Tagan PSU is noisy compare to Seasonic or ANTEC. Even the 380w is still noisy.

Pjotor,

What type of heatsink do you use to cool your Barton xp2500+? How about the temperature after you clocked it back to 2000 MHz ?. Did you test your Barton with CPU-Z software ?

Yes you were right about getting warm... although I used Thermalright SLK 900 (A) to cool the cpu down the panaflo fan went noisy.

Anyone know any good english language overclockers forum ?

What type is your motherboard ? I assume that you are using a ABIT KV7 mobo. I suggest you use the CORSAIR 1xCMX512-3200C2 or 2xCMX512-3200C2
In order to optimize the use of dual-channel DDR SDRAM platform you should use the 2xCMX512-3200C2

I suggest you buy the abit NF7-S rev2.0 . It's the BEST mobo I ever had. Specially when overclocking. I use my Barton 2500+ AQXE with a Thermalright SLK900(A) and overclocked it. The core speed went up to 2004.6 MHz from the default 1837.7 MHz with a Multiplier Factor by 10 and setting the CPU Core ...

I have a aluminum ANTEC P160 and a steel Sonata. Before I bought the P160, I doubt that the case will be silent because logically steel is heavier and quieter than a lightweight aluminum. Most of all I think it depends on how you mount your psu and case fan in the right position. I used a 3M double ...
