If the cafe WILL serve the gaming crowd then you'll also need some script that basically rewrites the whole hdd on clients. You can't believe the lengths people will go to install cheatware and the use public cafe clients so their home IP doesn't get banned. That means domain control, restricted acc...

Undervolting as a means of CPU Cooling

Although there are several references to undervolting throughout the site & forums, I see few newcomers taking advantage of this wonderful & free cooling technique. Then I noticed that most articles talk about undervolting & underclocking in one breath and that may be a turn-off for newcomers. Anywa...

I'll comment on a cafe setup in general. I had the chance to talk to the owner of one of the biggest & best known gaming cafes in my city. He said most of his dollars went to a good server & good network infrastructure. He WAS talking about 60+ machines though, so it may be a bit over the top for yo...

Do a search for "PSU coil whine" and you'll come across a few suggestions. All of them involve opening up your PSU, and IMO none of them are "neat" but they seem to work

IMO, the one and only HTPC case worth paying a lot for:

The drive bay has a drive cover, not a full blown door. Cooling is all 80mm. And it's very beutiful. The darn Silverstone distributor in my country doesn't import these though

Hehe, missed that thread as the pics just weren't coming through. No, I plan on decoupling the entire PSU case. Even with decoupled fans, due to tight spacing some vibration still remains. And it's amplified along the length of the PSU so that you have the innermost corner transferring significantly...

Totally shutting down the VGA is AFAIK impossible. Computers usually refuse to work without one :) However, you CAN get a low power card like a ATI Radeon 9200SE (has DVI & is passive) and use ATITool (I don't know if there's something similar in Linux) to take the speed way down in 2D. As for DPMI ...

Retail zalman 92mm fans are a tad noisier than Z7000 fans. This was my initial conclusion after a side-by-side and was later verified by an email from Zalman. Difference is probably inaudible inside a case however.
