I have a DQ6, mostly because it has DDL and DTS Connect. One consideration is that it has a backplate for it's Crazy Cool or whatever it's called, so a heatsink that requires a backplate will take some work to be on the board. I use an Infinity which does not require a backplate.

I would hard pressed to believe that the Ninja is one of Scythe's least popular models. If so, why would they make a updated version for AM2, why not let it die? Outside of SPCR, I see the Ninja listed for many users systems on various boards. While we don't always get products available to the Euro...

I had a hard time finding pictures of the heatsink on this one, but I found one site: http://www.mistermod.com/noticias.php?Id_Noticia=176 The heatsink fins seem to be larger, hopefully a more efficent cooling too. Good job. I have to say when I first saw the thread title, I thought "why would you need to softmount a fan on the Ninja?" Then I was suprised at your creativity to put a smaller fan on there for emergency backup.

Good idear!

965 is also very imature of a chipset. Lots and lots of early adopter issues. BIOS updates for the boards are happening on a weekly basis almost (Asus at least). The bulk of 965 boards have Azalia, and a few (expensive ones) have DTS Connect. Some of the 965 boards say they are ready got the quad co...

That is the EE 3800 not the 65 watt one he's comparing. Comparison wise the e6300 is closer the 4x00+ tier of X2's in performance. All X2 3800+'s process identically. Well there is some very minor difference between the AM2 and S939 versions, but the only thing different about the EE and SF EE vers...

I recently installed a Ninja on my 3800+ system. It is cooling the processor extremely well. Via speedfan, I notice that my processor usually loads at around 42-45, however, I now notice that my PWM loads at 52ish. I'm not sure what reccomended temperature the PWM's on motherboards can safely run a...

Intel QST: Quest System Technology

Anyone know any detailed information on the Intel QST, Quest System Technology, that is in the new Core 2 Duo motherboards?
