I don't have one of these cards, but I've done a lot of reading online about them (AGP version), and might buy one soon. Anyhow, I might be able to point you in the right direction here. Though I am looking at an AGP version of this card, generally, everything is about the same between the AGP and P...

It is possible that your NB does, in fact, run cool. It is also possible that the factory did a shoddy job of machining the bottom of the NB heatsink flat, or the chip is concave/convex, or a bad TIM or thermal tape job, all of which would result in less then ideal transfer of heat from the NB chip ...

I took one of mine I received from Comp Geeks, and decouple mounted it in a Fortron FSP350-60PN I had in which the original Yate Loon had an excessive amount of clicking. I removed the yellow RPM monitoring wire from the 3 pin molex plug, and slid it out of the PVC sheath, leaving it full length. Th...

This is excellent! I've been trying to think of an effective, yet easy to build HDD cooling/quieting system, but nothing I've thought of even comes close to this! I'd really be curious as to how this puppy works under actual useage, especially temps wise, but I'm sure it'll be fine. The built in AGP...

I just installed my 2200M yesterday, so I haven't really had much time to 'see what she'll do', but so far, so good :) On my Shuttle AN35N Ultra with an SP-97 and a Panaflo 92mm MBX, I'm running at 1700 (8.5 x 200) at 1.25 vcore. Ran Prime 95 overnight for 8 hours with no errors. Temps are 28-29c at...

I'd also be suspicious of any programs/services running in the background.....especially anti-virus software. I had Nortons do this to me to the point where I uninstalled it, and went with AVG instead.

Sounds like an episode of Home Improvement. ~cut to the 'Tool Time' stage~ "Hey Al.....today, where gonna show the audience how to cool down their over clocked PC. Of course, I needed a 'bit' more power then just regular fans. Let me go get the Volkswagon engine fired up......" Al shakes his head in...
