First, research Tim Berners-Lee - creator of the internet, born: London (that's in England), nationality: British. [pedant] Tim Berners-Lee is usually credited with inventing the World Wide Web, which is not quite the same thing, although it's arguably what most people mean by "the Internet" nowada...

I have yet to see Christians bashing other faiths, such as atheists, attacking them in media and basically persecuting them. sigh... I see what you did there, but if you want to describe a non-belief in something for which there's no evidence of existence as "faith", by all means knock yourself out...

There's been some pretty famous atheists too - Hitler, Mao, Stalin - all resulting in the deaths of millions to tens of millions. It's not like "religion" as you call it is the only place you can find people that have made mistakes. It seems to me that there's been as many or more atheists who aren...

This is quite interesting (from the ever-useful Sysinternals) if you're curious about how your RAM is being used. There's heaps more information than Task Manager or Process Monitor provide (eg the "File Summary" tab shows exactly what's in the cache). http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals...

the bigger question is where the fluid inside the coolers flows when they are turned in a non-standard direction, and whether that could effect the cooling???? Rather ironically, a quick Google seems to indicate that a "couple" when referring to a "small indefinite number" is in fact primarily an Americanism. It *can* be used in this manner in the UK (the OED flags the usage as "informal"), but it would generally be regarded as a rather sloppy and vague us...

Yes I think it is barbaric. Not sick though - what I would consider sick is for an individual to torture an animal in private for their own pleasure. So just to be clear, it's acceptable to torture an animal as long as it's in public for the entertainment of others, rather than in private for one's...

Bullfighting is a huge sport in Spain, virtually as popular as soccer. It is part of the national culture. We all depend on many other people we do not often think about; many of whom risk their lives for our convenience. I'm thinking of the coal miners, some of whom were recently killed, and also of the people who work on oil rigs, who died when it exploded and sank. Do we blame them for taking risks? ...

Is there any reason it has to be FTP? You might also want to look at running an rsync daemon on the server, and have the Windows clients connect using Deltacopy over SSH - it only copies the file deltas during an incremental backup, which could be a big advantage if you're copying large data files o...

The big issue with 64-bit is drivers for older hardware. If your system doesn't have anything older than about 3 years attached, you're good to go; x64 will not only address more memory, it also has some new instructions that speed up general code a few percent. If you have an old scanner, printer,...
