Just a seagate 300 and a western digital 400.
The western digital is much quieter idle, but has louder seeks. Runs about 4 degrees hotter, or at least reports so.

I used stretch magic for it. And since i was introduced to suspension 5 builds ago, I refuse to use a system without it. All of my systems use 2 hard drives, and without suspension, there is a harmonic pulsing hum that is impossible to get rid of. Now I just have to figure out a way to cool them wel...

Thanks for the thoughts, do you think that the vid card will run hot even if I implement a middle fan and allow it to flow air out the pci slot covers? I have this video card btw. Which I think may lend very well to this setup? http://images10.newegg.com/NeweggImage/productimage/14-125-043-04.jpg ht...

Planned P182 Ducting / Fan Config. Please Critique (PICS)
I was a bit disappointed with my P182's performance over my 3700BQE. My setup - Core 2 Duo 6400 oc'ed mildly to 2.80 Ninja 7600gts 2 hard drives suspended @ bottom. I based my build around the traditional ones that I see everyone doing and resulted in these problems 1) Higher CPU temps 2) Poor front...

Ninja + ABIT AB9 Pro.
I searched around, and I couldn't find a definate answer.
The ABIT ab9 pro has a rear heatsink for its chipset, does this compromise clearance for Ninja heatsinks?

Ninja Mounting Hardware for LGA775?
I've been using my Ninja on my 939 system for a while now, love it, and I am about to move to a Core 2 Duo System.
Is there anywhere I can get the mounting hardware for the LGA775 mounting bracket without having to buy an entirely new Ninja system?

Cooling PWM on motherboard?
I recently installed a Ninja on my 3800+ system. It is cooling the processor extremely well. Via speedfan, I notice that my processor usually loads at around 42-45, however, I now notice that my PWM loads at 52ish. I'm not sure what reccomended temperature the PWM's on motherboards can safely run at...

Upon checking the BIOS again, the BIOS is now reporting unusally low temperatures. +1C over ambient temps for the CPU Is this just after startup (cold boot)? If it is, then that's a believable value. sadly, it is not after a cold boot. This will show even after a reboot after my PC running for seve...

I have an Abit board, and I tried the Uguru utility that is included, it also reports retardly low temps. Upon checking the BIOS again, the BIOS is now reporting unusally low temperatures. +1C over ambient temps for the CPU, while the Northbridge is about +10C. Does the motherboard measure the CPU t...

Athlon X2 3800 Idling at 14 C?!?
I've had my Athlon X2 for a few months now. Typically it idled at 40C, and loaded at ~ 55C. I use motherboard monitor to get my readings. I booted up the other day, and my idle temps are now 14C, and my Load temps are around 25C. My northbridge and case temps however, are still within reason. What c...

X1300 Passive Stock in 2d mode?
I'm building a system with an x1300. I'm only going to run it in 2d mode, never 3d. Could I get away with simply unplugging the fan on the card? Or would I need a much beefier heatsink in order to cool it properly in 2d mode.
Thanks in Advance.

Stretch magic is stretchy plastic string that is used to make bracelets. If you do a search, there have been a few good threads on the subject. From the picture of your case, it seems like your options are pretty limited. If I were you, i'd try suspending one of the hard drives in a cd-rom drive bay...

I can attest to this first hand. Drove me crazy for about a year and a half until I found this site. I tried isolating with gromets, and sorbothane with absolutely no luck. So don't even waste your time trying those out. I finally had to suspend with stretch magic. That did the trick. You should onl...

I really think you should go with one of those VIA EPIA boards/cpus. Not much processing power, but they are VERY VERY cheap, and consume very little power. ~10 watts if i recall. They have graphics and network inttegrated. They also have a PCI slot, so you can add a high quality soundcard. You can ...
