Uhm, no offence here, but you may want to clean your glasses and re-read page one  :) 8)

Great review! Made me want one of those ... Someone suggested that they should use 2.5" hard drives, but I really can't see the point of using a slower, more expensive drive with significant less storage capacity with only a barely noticeable (for most people that is) noise difference. Maybe a silen...

After reading Devon's (as usual, excellent) 9003 review, and after running it for some weeks now I think there is a serious problem with the SFB-system. The case fans are obviously not running, regardless of case temperature. Since SFB was maybe the main reason why I bought this PSU, I have to revis...

Old quiet computer in SLK3000B case (ca 400 KB pics)

Hi! :D Ever since I bought this computer some three years ago I have tried to make it quiet. I started my “journey” with Enermax fans, AX-7 CPU cooler, another Antec case with stock PSU (loud). Then I updated it with a Fortron PSU, much better, Papst fans (all fans wired up with Zalman Fanmates), Za...

Nexus 9003 first impressions

Hi, I think it's strange that there are not very much information about Nexus' new 9003 PSU with SFB … Link: http://www.nexustek.nl/nx9003sfb.htm Well I installed it in my system (see signature), but I can't really tell how it compares to my old FSP 300W because a made an “extreme makeover” and swit...

Nexus fans can be found at www.gtek.se (Sweden).

It is estimated to ship during week 12 according to their web site (the 92mm, the 80mm and 120mm versions are in stock already, though). If you didn't know, that is next week ;)

However, I don't know if they are shipping to Denmark.

You could buy here simply anything with an AGP- & DVI interface. However, ATI's cards seems to have a more reliable DVI interface compared to nVidia's. I would probably buy her a Radeon 9200 or 9250 from a manufacter of your taste. But be sure it has a passive heating solution, most of those have bu...

Nice! Gigabyte seems to be a really nice friend for anyone who wants a silent computer, and still running decent components without voiding the warranty. It's very possible that I'm going to purchase this graphic cards and their nForce4 SLI motherboard (the only Nforce4 with a passiv stock NB cooler...

First off, I think you're on the right track with those plans. Some suggestions in random order. I'd consider getting Nexus fans over the Papst for case fans since those will produce more than enough airflow. They are quieter and cheaper to boot. Papst are OK but they tend to click when undervolted...

Suggestions to make my computer silent!

Hello everybody, You can see my system in my signature below. It is so close to be a complete quiet rig ... but annoyingly I’m not there yet. My thought was to finally fix the last couple of things to make it a complete quiet and nice system, even though upgrades are nearby (waiting for Pentium M to...

NF7-S - nice card, bad layout. Has a very nasty northbridge cooler. Great OC'er and takes most of the heatsinks. A7N8X DLX - Another great board. Better layout and passive NB cooler. Based on own experiences. Both seem to be rock solid. I'd prefer the NF7-S but changing the NB cooler. But I would re...

Hi, I have the same problem. My FSP300 is to noise for my taste. But I'm not sure if it's possible to replace the fan, and it that case - with what? And how will the temperature regulation work out? Or should one bypass it and connect a Papst 120mm 4412FGL/2 running at 5V? Anyone with experience of ...

It can also be the other way.. Seagate ships their S-ATA drives with AAM set for max. speed, rather than quiet. The P-ATA drive on the other hand is set for min. noise. The AAM on Seagate is not adjustable by end consumer due to legal problems. However, Seagate can pre-adjust this before shipping th...
