Would modifying the psu to allow the 92mm fan to be replaced with a papst 120mm at 5v for example be a good idea with a cpu as hot as mine? I can see it possibly cooling my cpu better but will it make the psu too hot?

Won't that just suck up the hot air from the case?

PSU Replacement Fan

I'm looking for a very quiet fan to be used in a noisetaker power supply. Every single panaflo I've purchased all have had clicking problems. I was wondering if there was an alternative or is the china made panaflo's still on the top?

Worried about cpu temps

When I first put together my system the cpu temps maxed out at 55 degrees celcius. Now that the days are getting hotter I've noticed that my cpu is getting very hot. With an ambient room temperature of 80 degrees fahrenheit I ran prime95 for 45 minutes and the temperature maxed out at 66 degrees cel...

According to the Seagate website, the environmental stats say the 160 GB SATA and ATA operates at a range of up to 60 degrees celcius. Your ATA drive temp looks normal, but the SATA seems kind of high to me. You might want to slap in a fan near the hard drives to cool them down a bit.

Re: Strange Seagate Problem

I had the same problem with my 120 GB Seagate 7200 drive. From what I understand by reading through the forums it happens when the drive goes idle, it does a maintenance routine. Other seagate drives (IV and V) don't do this because the acoustic management software is active. I guess the new drives ...
