Thanks for that, but no luck. I don't seem to be able to fine the clip. I pulled the entire card out today and gave it a good try with no success. The sides of the plug are completely flat along with the back. The front has two small square holes and a clip like thing runnning down the middle. But n...

Ok, I didn't really look too hard. I can't seem to unplug the fan connector from the graphics card (it is really hard). But it seems to be the same size as a normal mobo fan connector. Is there some technique I am missing to pull it off?

This is s stupid question, but how do you install the front intake fan on the sonata? I tried to work it out, but there are no screw holes (infront of or behind the air filter) and no signs of clips or retention or anything. What's more, I can't see how there is even room for a 25mm fan in the front...

My ATI silencer 4 is clicking constantly. I stopped the fan for a second, and much to my surprise, the clicking was still there. So I'm going to plug the fan into a mobo fan header now.

The problem is that the fan plug is much smaller than the mobo plug. How do I plug it in?

I have a ati silencer 4 on an x800xt.
It is stupid. Brand new, and the ball bearing noise is a constant clicking. It runs at 66% all the time according to atiTool. When I set the fan at 100% the clicking goes away, but then the fan is audible.
Is there anything I can do about this?

Okies, I see your point (while the calibration thread loads) I have one of the new Antec clear (thermally controlled) fans on the XP-120. That is what the guys put on there from the shop. My Papst 4412FGL is on the way. The sonata stock exhaust fan is running off the sonata's powersupply off the fan...

I was trying to find out if asus pc probe was accurate or not.
With CPU Burn, my cpu temp goes from 30C idle to 39C full burn.
And my MB temp goes from 18C idle to 20C full burn. It doesn't seem right.

I have an Asus A8V. How accurate are the readings on it? idle/load CPU: 30C/~44C (load not fully tested yet) SYSTEM: 18C/ (load not tested yet) (temps reported by asus pc probe) I have a 3500+ NewCastle with an XP120. Not really quiet yet as I'm waiting on some fan mates. Are these temps realistic? ...

This is completely offtopic, but Spod, how quiet is your raptor?
I just ordered a new system designed primarily for speed, secondly for quietness that has a 74gig raptor in it.

Thanks

I was just wondering if someone knows what the new 3500+, 3800+, X800XT and X800PRO would require. If I were to build a system with: AMD 3800+ ATI X800 XT Plat 1gig Corsair xms xt (2-2-2-5) 74gig WD raptor 160gig seagate 7200.7 sata 8mb I'm not gonig to OC or do any major upgrades, so headroom isn't...

Even if you got the new 6800 ULTRA top of the range version, 350 watts would still be enough to power it all. nVidia only set the 480 watt requirement assuming that only people with huge cutting edge, maxed out systems would be buying it. By maxed out i mean 4 scsi HD's 3 optical drives soundcard et...

Hi.

Thanks for the welcome! I have seen several of them in my time here, and now i have one!

One powersupply I know I can get is the Enermax noisetaker 475. Is this one of those "quieter" power supplies?

But it is still good to know that I can get away with 350 watts on the system.

Thanks.

Hi everyone. I've been coming to this site for ages now, but never registered until today. First post! The Antec 3700BQE comes with a 350 watt PSU which if I recall is supposed to be pretty quiet. I was wondering if that PSU would be enough to power this: Athlon64 3800+ (When it comes out) Corsair T...
