Best filesystem for SSD that windows can run on would be FAT right? NTFS keeps writing to the disc for unknown reason. I also hear FAT is faster, and it's fragmentation problem will be a non-issue for SSD. But FAT is less secure and also less safe. A file system doesn't "write to the disc" for any ...

I'm with Nick705 on this one. Video encoding performance vastly benefits from having different source and destination drives -- reading and writing those incredible amounts of data to the same drive really slows things down. In fact, I'd go so far as to suggest having 3 drives: 1 for system/swap fil...

I recently bought a pair of PX-100s to replace a pair of Sporta-Pros that broke (the left earpiece connector broke - mostly my fault). The Koss were comfortable and sounded great on my Creative Zen MP3 player. The Sennheiser are also very comfortable and sound great as well, perhaps clearer and brig...

Oh God, how noisy that HDD is. I just installed it to external case It had sharp seek noise now while I am writing data it has very loud and sharp tone while its writing data or seeking. I mean you couldn't believe that I have two other Seagate 7200.6's and those are virtually silent. When this bar...

Hmm. I wonder if the "Preemptive Wear Leveling" feature causes any "meowing" noise as has been reported in some other drives. As far as being used in standard desktop systems, I would think the firmware for these drives "gives up" more quickly on read and write failures and would therefore not be su...

No way the Zalman gives you lower temps than the Ninja. Considering you got the same temp reading whether Idle or running Prime95, I'd guess that the temp you are reading is not the CPU temp. What are you using for temp readings?

The YS is designed for use in a redundant RAID configuration, and shouldn't be used in other setups. Western Digital call this feature "tim...

If they are positioned close together, they will run significantly warmer. If this is the case, try to give them a little more space. May not be possible in the P150, though.
