Re: neo 430 gets loud

i like the setup. i have something similar and i noticed when i installed my 8800gts, there is this notch in the back of the case that prevents the card from sitting completely flush against the back. i was only able to get one screw in. did u notice this as well? http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/56...

PSU with 120mm Fan
i been looking at the new seasonic PSU with the 120mm fan. it looks like the hot air isnt exhausted out the back of the case but instead recirculated inside the case. is this not a good PSU if you dont want to increase case temps?

heatsink from 7900GTO
i currently have a 7900gt runing a VF-700 and i was wondering is there any place that just sells the 7900GTO heatsink? because that model exhausts the heat out the back of the case, which my vf-700 does not.

if the noise is dramatic at loud im thinking against doing the duct now. the thing is my system is pretty power hungry and my PS fan is the most audible thing in the whole system. i havent added the 2 front intake fans yet, but i was thinking that might cool the case down thus lowering the neo's fan...

antec neo 430W ticking
i just noticed after gaming that i heard a continuous tick tick tick from the neo's ps inside my p150. is this suposed to sound like this when the temperature increases inside the case? because at idle the ticking isnt there.

the HDD is 54C but i've read the wd2500ks has a bug that shows the wrong temps anyway. GPU is 47C. the only reason i asked about the intake fan is because my system had the same temps with the stock AMD heatsink running at 2700RPM (loud). and i thought the Ninja would make the temps lower. Maybe ill...

are my temps good?
first let me state my specs: P150 - A8N32-SLI - X2 4400 - Ninja. I have the Tricool at Low for the exhaust and i have Nexus at 12v on the Ninja. Now my temps are 38C for the CPU and 41C for mobo at idle. after gaming for a while it rises to 41C for cpu and 44C for mobo. Im wondering should I add ano...

Thanks QuietOC, I tried looking at CPU useage, and it's 98-99% idle, so I don't think that's the problem. Funny thin - with the AMD power monitor is a Dashboard demo, I tried loading this and it says 'failed initializing, make sure the AMD tools driver is installed and that this system has a PSS or...

go into control panel > system > device manager > hardware. check to see that the CPU driver is 1.2.2.0. I installed the driver from AMD.com and it didnt work. So i went to my mobo manufacturer website (asus) and they had a "cool and quiet driver" . i downloaded that an it worked. however i think i ...

SCNJ-1000 discontinued?
i just went to jab-tech to order it and guess what...it says discontinued and it instead wants me to buy the more expensive one with fan. whats up with that? i guess too many people burnt their cpu by improper use an cried to scythe so now they only sell it with a fan.

The WD SecureConnect cables only work on WD SATA drives. In addition, if you use SecureConnect cables, you must use the standard Molex 12V power connector from the PSU, and not a PSU SATA power connector (WD drives have 2 power input sockets). is using the molex 12V not as good as the SATA power co...
