Help, lower P180 drive cage stuck!
:( So spent all of last evening doing the tedious task of swapping out my old Socket-A setup for my new 3000+ Venice/MSI K8N Neo2/XP90 combo. I also took out the drive cage to replace my 160G Barracuda that developed bad sectors (I hope my 5 year warranty covers this) with my new Barracuda 200G. I'm...

I just made the move from a sonata to a P180 and it was well worth it. I have clocked my cpu 300mhz higher, and with everything on low, I get the same temps whilst playing WoW as I did when I was just idling in my sonata at 300mhz slower, AND this is now virtually inaudible!! If I turn all the fans ...

Did the changeover today, and I am seriously impressed. I have a Globe 120mm as rear fan, panaflo 92mm on my SP97, tricool jobby on the top blow-hole but set to low and a panaflo 120x38mm in the psu chamber. These are hooked up to my fan controller, Globe, Panaflo, and the tricool/38m panaflo are li...

i have just realised, the only real prob i can see with the 3000B is that, as it has a cover for the DVD drives, you cant isolate the PSU and have a front intake duct:(:(, unless you keep the cover open when the PC is on, but then that kinda defeats the point of the cover! I have a fresh air duct u...

silenx lie I have 2x 120mm fans and 1x 92mm (total waste of £48 ) there are no where near 14dba @ 12V, and dont push enough air when undervolted. My 92mm panaflo is much smoother at lower voltages than the silenx and seems to push more air the nexus 120mm will be as quiet at possible at 12V (only £1...

Look rather optimistic for double bearing fans, but only if *dreams on*
Anyone had any experiences?

Dual 12V PSU's and A64 setups
Hi I've been planning an upgrade soon, A64 and all that jazz, and was set on getting myself an Enermax Noisetaker 470W, but I then read about some issues with dual 12V rail psu's and A64 systems. see here: http://msihq.designlab.info/thread.php?threadid=65607&hilight=noisetaker Should any of this be...

What would you estimate?
Lets say you had a fan controller that did 12v-7v. What effect would you say having a fan at 7v would be? I doubt its as easy as saying half the cfm and dba, effectively doubling the quietness but halfing the cooling? To elaborate, say I was giving fans percentage figures for cooling and quietness a...

Is my super silencer to blame??
Hi I have a SS400 that I have modded with a L1A and widened the intake vents and provide a fresh air duct for that runs cooly and quietly. Everything has been fine in my system up until this past week. I added a 2nd 160G ide seagate to the mix, and on thursday evening, got a random restart whilst ru...

61cfm @ 25dba and they have NMB bearings, not the fluid bearings
at £14.99 they are a bit steep, but they are 25mm thick, so would fit in front mount of BQE

evercase 120mm fan mount question UK
I read on the UK site for evercase that the 4254 can have a 120mm rear fan mount requested. has anyone who has got one from them able to confirm that? and how much did the case cost inc p&p? I think it might be a worthy upgrade from my sonata (looking for 4 external 3.5 abys so I can get a nice hdd ...

I initially started as I wanted to be able to leave my machine on overnight whilst I slept, and it's snowballed from there. I am shocked how much a quieter computer has improved my general enjoyment of pc use, I have been using pc's since I was 6, so 16 years now, and I have had a fascination with t...
