Well, skipping the whole buttonized look is good. If I'd have to make a choise between the current one and the two test ones, I'd pick test1

(Could the blue be a bit more grayish, to match the color of the forums text?)

Blappo: You're catching me. And my ADSL modem was fried the other day, so currently I'm working at half capacity (it' doesn't show in my 24h average yet, but it will). Bad time to lose a machine. Race you to #200?

After trying Redhat, Gentoo, Suse, Mandrake, Xandros and Lindows all I can say is that Debian is the one for me. Oh, and about the AMD64 port I'm sure you already know this, but if you don't here goes:

Q: I want to make my computer quieter, where do I start? A: The noisiest part is always noisier than the rest combined (trust me on this one)! You can find it by stopping fans one by one. When you find the part that makes the most noise, swap it for one from our recommended list. Q: I want to build ...

Cool'n'Quiet aka powernow is at least partly supported by the kernel. I'm not sure how the daemons for regulating the cpufreq and voltage is coming along.

mas92264: Actually I have to agree with you. The dilbert is nice the first few times, but then ut loses it's appeal very quickly. I do think the "default" is dull, but then again, it should be the contents of the message not the contents of the sig that should be interesting. A sig should just be th...

I wanted a signature that looked a little less boring than the default. I used the SAP method(anyone familiar with SAP knows SAP=Slow and painful), meaning I browsed different f@h forums and looked at the different sigs ppl were using and picked one. Then I just did like Michael_qrt.

Panaflos are very cheap and quiet. There is an eternal battle raging conserning what the best fan is. Suggestions are Panaflo, Papst, Evercool, Nexus etc... Many complain that while Papst are the most quiet ones, some make a clicking sound when undervolted. Note that Panaflos don't have RPM monitori...

Actually there is a cheap way of building your own silencing material. I have not tried this myself but I've seen it mentioned and praised by several people. Bluetooth is EXTREMELY slow. Forget about bluetooth and think WLAN. And while you are thinking of WLAN you might want to think about linux as well (why? Beats me :) ). So, what is generating noise in your computer? - CPU - Harddrives - PSU - Case fan - Graphics card So let's put those somewhere else...

Notice though that the Fortron Aurora isn't the same Fortron 350W we have in europe. I'm told the european version is a bit noisier, but my (soon to be ex) case fan drowns out any noise my fortron psu makes.

It takes ages for me to load those pages, so I just looked at the AIR case's page. I didn't find answers to the following two questions: - How thick is the steel used? - How the heck does air get in to the case? The front doesn't seem to have ANY intake holes. Otherwise that might be a nice case. I ...

I was really baffled by your post at first, as it seemed to go against all logic, commons sence and experience. Luckily the explanation was something as simple as a jammed fan :-) I've read in several places that a front fan generally only affects drive temps. I'm guessing that it's because the amou...

CPU Socket 49 Cpu Diode 32 Case 45 Are you sure you aren't confusing your socket and diode temps? Even if the northbridge is close to the case sensor, it would be the result of REALLY bad design that it would effect it that much while the cpu diode/socket temp is only 32. Could it be that the case ...
