I was considering the VX450 as I can get that locally.

I can not find the Modu82+ anywhere, but the "pro" version I can get - the big question is just - is it just as good or??? I do not know how it compared to the Corsair VX450 which I can have re...

Re: Asus Q-Fan [Question]

When I select Asus Q-Fan to Silent Mode, does anyone know what voltage it's going at? Because from eyeing my 120mm fan in the back it looks like it's spinning faster than when I volt mod it to 5V using a Zalman volt mod cable. Where do you set it to "silent mode"? I have Q-fan on my A8N32 and can f...

Controlling Asus Q-fan on the A8N32 - possible at all???

I have an Asus A8N32 mainboard and have enabled Q-Fan in the BIOS (CMOS). But the thing seems more anoying now thant without Q-Fan, as I can clearly hear it rev up and down, even on the idle desktop... this does make my 92mm 23dB Papst more noticeable than if it ran at full speed... any suggestions???

Guys, just got an ASUS EN7600GT silent - it runs cooler than my old GF6600 passive 300/250MHz card and the strangest thing is that the PCB is BLUE like on the current ASUS website - but all reviews of the card I have seen feature a GREEN PCB. Anyone know if there is a difference - besides the color ...

I was thrilled when I discovered about the passive 7800GT(X?) from ASUS and thought they would come soon with a passive 7900GT which would be easier to cool because of the 90nm manufacturing process. I don't know why they never produced it, but I am glad MSI (and Albatron) are doing it now. The MSI...

Passive 7600GT or passive 7900GT???

Hello fellow silencers! I have made up my mind and rules out getting the 7900GTX because of the price and worries about that the cooler might not be quiet enough and bad experiences with stock coolers that are quiet when new, after 6 months start to scream at me. Besides, I am not a heavy gamer, mor...

Asus made it with a passive 7800 - so, why could a 7900 not be cooled??

A 7900GTX is very quiet with it's 92mm axial cooling fan and since Nvidia uses a full-blown, 4-wire PWM fan on this card, you can use a tool like RivaTuner to set it at practically any speed you want since the GPU is very cool running. I have mine spinning at around 700rpm and it is inaudiable. Wha...

I am not sure if I would do that. You will sending warm air toward your proc. IMHO, you would be better off trying to draw more air over the chipset and out the back. Do you run both fans at top speed? If so, that top fan might be pulling some much needed air up instead of over your chipset. What C...

Well they'll tell you its quiet, but then so does everyone these days (see: SilentX)! From what I've heard it isn't good enough to be judged as quiet. As for the 7900GTX, some people have posted saying they're very quiet for a VGA card, better even than many aftermarket solutions. They aren'...
