Re: New Haswell in an old Antec 3000B - Heatsink advice plea

I guess I wanted some forward compatibility in case i ever decide to downsize to a microATX case, and I'm positive I don't actually need all the explansion slots found on a full ATX mobo. Also some people do appear to have got the HR-02 to work on a microATX mobo without blocking top slot: http://ww...

oh that's a really good point, didn't think of that :-( I've just ordered: ASRock H87M HR-02 Macho Rev A i7-4770 And yes I did want a modest discrete GPU card too although haven't yet decided which... Do you think the HR-02 will definitely clash with a GPU card on the H87M? If so I'll change the ord...

Re: New Haswell in an old Antec 3000B - Heatsink advice plea

Sorry all please ignore that question - just looked it up and of course microATX motherboards are compatible with all ATX cases!

Any other thoughts on heatsink choice - any experience of using the Panther on a 84W i7 Haswell? Would I be able to get away with just the rear case fan?

Dear all I have an old Antec SLK-3000B and Nexus Value 430 PSU, both of which I want to keep. Looking to purchase: Asus H87M-PRO Intel i7-4770 16GB DDR3 RAM Now, I need some advice on the CPU cooler. Dear all After a whole weekend of researching a mini-ITX new build for my wife, I've settled on the following choices and wanted some feedback and some questions answered: Case: Lian Li PC-Q08b - large for mITX but prefer the airflow and HDD swapping ease cf. smaller mITX cases like Sugo 05. you were exactly right.

my mobo (m4a785TD-V) has 3 fan headers: CPU (4-pin), Chassis (3-pin) and PWR(3-pin)

The only header which Speedfan seems able to control is Chassis fan.

Therefore I put my CPU fan on Chassis header, and fanmated the other front case fan.

Thanks for your help.

How to slow Nexus 120mm fans on Asus M4A785TD-V?

Hi friends It's in the title really. My rear case fan is an Antec Tri-Cool, running at Low. CPU fan is standard 3-pin Orange Nexus Real Silent 120mm, connected to CPU-Fan (4-pin) header, and the front case fan is the same fan type, connected to a 3-pin power_fan header. I have been trying to use Asu...

How to enable EIST on laptop (Samsung Q45) when plugged in?

See picture of my system The CPU duct in the side of the Antec 3000B currently helps me to cool the CPU passively with the XP-120.
