well...i did the deed. Took off the drive rails on both sides of the HD's THe way I did this (and not recommended if you are not sure you still want to mount them the traditional way) is to open th back panel, rip off the rail from the back, and pry the rail off from the front. The plastic is stong ...

:p it seems as though you convinced yourself that they get in the way. Yea, the do. I didn't want it hanging around, so i snippped it off, and attached the end wires toghether, then wrapped it in electrical tape. I just need an extension as my rear exhaust fan doesn't reach that far. I'm going to tr...

Hello all, I have FINALLY recieved my Orange 120mm Yate Loon fans. I cut off the molex connector from the wire. I didn't know how to do it, so I did 2 methods. 1. tried to fix it so that the wire goes directly into the fan connector. 2. cut the wire and tied it toghether and wrapped it in electrical...

Take a look at the sunbeam rheobus, its kinda ugly, but it works very well. I know alot of members here have it and highly recommend it. I dont like using PWM(?) ones cuz then you need to load the software and what not. There are advantages of them, but not for my specific needs. I like hardware con...

well, FWIW ihave some answers to my questions. 1. 120mm fan over the PCI slots doesn't work. a 92mm fan works good as long as your not using any PCI cards. Unfortunatley i have a sounscard, so I doubt that i'll mount a fan there. 2. mounting the harddrives vertical doesn't seem like a good idea anym...

This is very unfortunate, I have went through 3 resellers and have run into this problem. Isellsuprlus, NCIX, and Tekgems (maybe?). It is very poor practice to not inform the customer about the error in the database. Both NCIX and isellsurplus did not contact me for over 2 weeks before they wrote ba...

The Orange Yate Loons from tekgems are an awsome deal even if you are in Toronto. If you want the 120mm Nexus fans, go to www.inmax.ca GO there in person. Just pretend that you want one. THen ask for a discount, then if she refuses, then say yu'll buy a few. I'm sure she will give you at least 1 tax...

I'll do it this weekend or when I get my Yate Loon fans. Since i'm gonna have to put in the fans anyways, i'll see the sound difference and let yo...

miks2u, thats very generous of you. I jsut saw this thing today. It looks awsome. I'd love to do a review, but feel that I am not well equiped with enough knowledge. I only have a 9600XT, and I guess would not be benificial as many have 9800 and above cards (or NVidia equivalent). I'll bump this thr...

As to the fan sucking air out of the case, I do have an alternative if it doesn't work...sort of! If/When I do decide to mod my case, when i have a few days to spare, I would drill out the rear exhaust, then I would drill 2 holes in the bottom of the case under the harddrives and put 2 120mm fans th...

daba, Nice looking case. I have the same one. Got some orange Yate Loons instead though. I do have one question, which I guess I can test out for myself, but wiating for my fans to come it. Isn't haveing the Intake fan in the front (the one for the harddrives) better to suck air out of the bay? My r...

I wonder which has the better deal ?:p Anyways, I have been waiting for 2 weeks from isellsurplus with no word on what's happening. I hope that tekgems has better CS! I'll let you...

I"d get the plextor. Its an excelent drive and worth the extra money. Go on to www.cdfreaks.com (http://club.cdfreaks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=43) and hear what people say about the burner. It has some nice features to it such as Quiet Mode and GigaBurn, both of which I use constantly.

I ordered some from isellsurplus as well. It's been over a week. and it still says "approved". I sent them 3 emails as to why they already charged my account, but nothing has been moving since then.I I haven't gotten a response from them yet. I'll just wait patiently till they come, but like HammerS...

not cheap. After tax, $28 CDN (incl 3% cash disc.) ea. :0 are you serious. Thats more expensive than getting it shipped form BC. I think i've been there before, I believe that you can get a discount if you bargin with them a bit. Anyways, NCIX dropped their price by $1 since last week. But this is ...
