Nice cooler but dual 60mm's (or maybe quad if you want a push-pull arrangement)? They need to work on that "silent computing" thingy a bit more

The Sempron is a 32-bit CPU. It is available in socket A and socket 754 and eventually it will have a socket 939 version. Do not expect to see 90nm parts from AMD until the end of the year.

Mine isn't. I have the Leadtek A340 (GF5900 non-ultra) and it has two small 40mm fans contained in an aluminum enclosure (to act as a duct). By far it's the noisiest component of my computer.

If Nvidia was smart, they'd package that with two of Arctic Cooling's upcoming VGA Silencer 4 for Nvidia products.

That's just... disturbing.

I second the Vornado recommendation. I have a Vornado Intellitemp room heater I use in my bedroom for a little extra heat in the winter. The fan is barely audible and it moves a lot of air.
