The only Pentium M worth buying right now is the Dorthon core and it will not fit in a regular motherboard. You need an 855 chipset. These boards are typically 250 and up at newegg. I think Aopens board is the one everyones getting because it comes with a quiet standard heatsink.

They dont look like the same systems to me. Maybe im not reading it right im sorry if im not. What it looks like to me is that Tom's hardware reviews the EX65 and EY65 while SPCR review EZ65. Again I appologize if this is incorrect its 630 am. *on a totally unrelated note the Toms Hardware link you ...

wow I like that, it looks nice. not what I expected at all. Im a little annoyed though they did not use an external brick psu like they did with thier other silent box. After all the low power requirements are perfect for it.

IMHO you would be better off building a quiet system with a Hauppage Tv card. You dont need to go fanless to be silent. You can achieve some really great results plus save some money at the same time. In the long run you will increase your upgrade path and be able to use the system for anything you ...

They're ahead of you: The rings clip down in place very securely. No shaky shake there. 8)

I can see my first mode on the p180 already even before release. The drive cages look like they use key rings to actually pull the cage out. This will be anything from quiet. The ring is close enough to the metal so you can bet its going to "tap" "tap" "riiiiiing" depending on how many hard drives a...

Im excited to see what modifications Antec has made with the sonata 2 and its intake area. Unfortunatly it doesnt show very much. Hopefully there will be more information soon. If the pricetag is going to be $180 it really puts it between a rock and a hard spot since it puts it on the same priceline...

The anandtech does not show any tests at all for gaming wich is where pentium m really shines. Odd to me that in just about any test they have "some" gaming benchmarks yet for the pentium m they did 0.

The gap is a good thing and is intentional. Less contact for less vibrations to transfer. The gap itself doesnt hurt anything. Even if it was your intake fan the air filter is typically on the other side so it would not be a problem.

the silencer will exaust the heat out of the case allowing everything inside to run quieter and cooler. I think it had to do with manufacture costs. If you look at the actual heat sink portion its half the size. Givin the rest of the design is platic im assuming the heatsink was the most expensive p...

all that crap wouldnt even be necessary if motherboard manufacturer actually mounted the mosfets standing up. The back of the mosfet puts out more heat then the top does, yet they still constantly mount them with the backs glued to the motherboard. You can put heatsinks on the tops of them and it he...

300 watt should be fine for 3 ghz but keep in mind if you try and put something like a gforce 6800 gt video card you may start to experience some problems. A high end card like that will make it choke. If you stay midrange components everything is great.
