My 7K250 is acting strange... It's kinda unstable and its seek noise is extremely loud. I've run a couple of driver diagnostic tools and none show any errors. I don't know what's wrong. My former drive, a Deskstar 120GXP was a lot more noisy when idle, but it's seek noise was way less loud than my 7...

Ok thanks for your input, unfortunatly I live in Sweden so the shipping will kill the price anyway, but you can find one in Sweden for about $120... After looking it up I think I like the SATA version very much. That version probably won't mean any extra performance but I would like to get rid of th...

Quiet Optical Drive?
My DVD-Rom sounds lika a jet engine. I'm looking for a new drive that is either a CD-Rw/DVD combo drive or a DVD-+Rw drive that is really quiet. ASUS has something called QuieTrack in some of their drives and after "hearing" one of their CD-Roms I was impressed, it wasn't quiet, but still a lot less...

What do you think? Zalman 7000B-AlCu or Swiftech MCX6400-V
Pondering which HS to replace the stock AMD cooler for my Athlon 64 3500+ with. It has come down to these two: Zalman CNPS7000B-AlCu or Swiftech MCX6400-V I'm thinking about pairing the Swiftech heatsink with either an Arctic Cooler temperature controlled 80 mm fan or a temerature controlled 80 mm f...
