Yea, I'm waiting for different review, like from techreport.com, something a bit more in depth. I'd like to see how difficult it would be to swap the power supply fan and such, also, I would like to see the 65-II version, with heat pipe cooling, which may be quieter, that has a 270Watt power supply....

Aopen XC Cube AV (EA65)
Here's an interesting mini HTPC: http://www.tomshardware.com/howto/20040715/index.html
I'm interested in the EA65-II, which lists a stronger power supply and heat pipe heatsink.

Just use the plastic bag that your motheroard came in (which better be an anti-static bag!). You could cut it or fold it to the appropriate shape/size, or otherwise punch holes in the appropriate locations, with the opening facing the side where your cables will entering/exiting and you should be go...

I've been running a Panaflo 92mm L1A on my Thermalright SLK-900U on my P4 2.66@533MHz FSB for over a year now. The hottest I've seen it was around 107 farenheit, with a room temp of 80 degrees, after hours of EverQuest or City of Heros, with maximum image quality settings. It should be fine. =) Thou...

If you are not too concerned with the looks of your case, you could encase the outside of your case in fiberglass to increase it's density, which would cut down noise. Inside your case, you could layer it, maybe? I don't know how good it would work, compared to foam, probably nowhere near as good, u...

It's either mounted backwards, or Toms Hardware has their information wrong, or, the company is plain stupid (either in displaying it mounted wrong, or, purposely mounting it that way if the fan does indeed blow towards the fins). It says that it blows towards the fins, which, if were mounted in a c...

It's actually Nickel plated copper w/aluminum fins
He updated the page. As I suspected from viewing the images, it's actually made from nickel plated copper, with Aluminum fins, though, the fins look like nickel plated copper, as well, in my opinion. Upside down mounting is not new, except for maybe as a commercially available product. People have been modding their cases to accept upside down motherboards since the graphics cards started putting out so much heat. No thermal paste? That's odd. The GX270's we have are using something that looks like Artic Silver 2. Plus, they have large heat sinks. These are in the Small Desktop case, not the Slimline Case. They are also using centrifigal fans, that tend to be quieter. The thick plastic casing helps, also. Plu...
