Have you considered the Pentium-M (centrino)? It runs from the P4 in many tasks, the power consumption is far below leading to lower temps, lower fannoise (usually none) and longer batterylife. A much better choice IMO.

The cooling works like a charm. Hightower, who posted in the original thread, had even better results than I had.

The difference must be that my case has close to NO airflow when I turn my pabst off.
