i'ld go with the 6800 gt but for some reason my bfg 6800 GT is not what i expected. maybe its my CPU problem but..... at 1024x768 no aa, no af i ran those anandtech tests and hardocp tests, im getting around 80 fps? at 1280x1024 i think its around 76 or 70, it doesn't really match up with those resu...

the silencer might cool less effectively vs the zalman with ur panaflow, how ever it should be quite equal im not sure about that. the plus for the silencer is that the hot air gets pushed out the case, whereas the zalman will keep the hot heat inside ur case, and add to ur cpu, psu temps, and possi...

well i plugged mine into the zalman fanmate and the clicking is still there. where as plugging it into the mobo does reduce the clicking noise. im not sure about fan controllers. my zalman fan mate is like a 1 channel fan controller. and the clicking doesn't get any better from that. the VGA rev 3 c...

you know if u still have the stock heatsink, u could put some artic silver on it, and RMA it to ATI, worked for me! 8). make sure u use a silver thermal compound cas ati ships videocards with silver compound. if u get the BFG6800 its gonna be loud for sure, due to the single slot solution. personall...

hmmmmm....... does it still have the clicking noise? maybe ur 6800 has a GOOD PVM.... :( lucky...... cas my NV5 is like as loud as the old school one at full speed. well i tried to plug it into a zalman fanmate and the ticking is still there  but if i plug into mobo the ticking is slightly red...

i have a 120mm nexus myself... and its the best 120mm fan i have come across yet, its so smooth the only thing i can hear is the whoooshing sound from air being pushed. Although it doesn't move alot of air, i think its fine, running SS ST 400, 120 nexus case fan, NV5 cooler, my temps are great. xp-9...

yes front fans are pretty much pointless unless ur running at really cfm. im running a ss tornado 400 at 800 rpm idle, 120mm nexus at 1000rpm, and a arctic silencer NV5, my case has an additional 120 in the front, but its pointless since the cfm being moved out is greater than the intake. unless u e...

try putting the heatsink into the freezer for like 30 min or like an hour... then try to pry it off, worked for me when i took off a glued on fan for a tnt2 card. if not try a pci slot cooler from vantec. or a zalman pci thingy that hangs off the pci screws. lol sorry im really busy no time to link :(

yeah i too have an arctic cooler, the NV5 the buzzing is just unbarable haha. im about to spice those wires out into a zalman fanmate. my case has pretty good airflow and i'm confident i don't need to regulate the temps that much when gaming, it may increase load temps, but a GPU can go up to 120 C ...

i would go for the 6800 gigabyte passive cooled one if ur not into games that much. also it would be wise to buy a 6800 from BFG since their lifetime warranty can't be beat. personally i would go for the BFG 6800 GT for its value and 16 piplines :D . about doom3 being capped at 60 fps... my 6800 GT ...

Nexus and Acoustic Pack are the same thichness of 7mm. but Acoustic Pack has a 2mm barrier where as the Nexus has a 1.5 mm barrier.
