Penny pinching

If you want to save a few quid on a Nexus 4090, Novatech (novatech.co.uk) has them for 49.56, although KustomPCs probably has the better after-sales service if there should be any problems. I'm v. happy with my 4090. Because it's operating well below its capacity, the fan never spins up. So long as ...

The TTSB is quite good for the money, but the fan is still a bit noisy, despite the name. I replaced it with an L1A (the fan supplied is basically an M1A) and got only about 1-2 deg C rise on idle (not sure about the difference at load, I changed the fan too soon). Don't know how good their fans are, but they seem to have stuff I haven't seen elsewhere. Apologies if I've missed an earlier posting. An update to last year's post - Evercas...

I substituted a Panaflo L1A for the existing fan on this heatsink, and was very pleased with the result, even at 12v. Definitely less annoying, and only about 1 degC rise in idle temperature (if that). I hadn't got around to stress-testing with the old fan, so I can't say what difference it makes un...

I've just bought one of the new-chassis 4252s (see sig). A few things that might help you. I think it would be possible to mount a front 120mm. There's *just* enough room, but you would have to drill your own holes, and the attachments for the front bevel might get in the way slightly. On the plus s...
