Well this is an HTPC case and I think most people still would want a DVD or Bluray drive in their home theater. I haven't burned anything in years, but I do watch the occasional DVD.

EDIT: Duh! I finally read the "Swedish" comments - except the component model numbers are not in Swedish. :) Looks like you're using a Seasonic SS-300FT, which is 140mm. So looking at your photos, and examining the connector position on the suspended 3.5" drive, there's probably no more room for a ...

the cooling setup looks like it could handle it. however, after looking at the pictures some more, there really isn't a fan that is blowing air to or from directly to the VGA card, as the fans beside the CPU socket would be blocked by a low profile cooler, and the PSU is directly beside the other e...

Here are some pictures of my GD04 build for those interested:

Comments are in Swedish though  In one of the pictures you can see how I suspended a third 3.5" HDD in front of the PSU.

SST Guy: any idea when it will be released in Europe? According a local retailer (Sweden) none of their suppliers have it in their assortment yet.

Well the drives I have are already pretty big and pretty darn quiet :) The smallest is 500GB so that could be replaced by a 2.5" drive.. But I would like to place all the drives next to the side fan. Especially the cage on top of the PSU feels less than ideal when it comes to cooling. Anyway I might...

Hmm, any chance this could be modded to accept more 3.5" HDDs? It suits me perfectly but I need space for at least three drives.

There seems to be some space in front of the PSU. I have a Coolermaster 4-in-3 module that I would love to put there...

It seems so. The only other board (besides the Albatron) that has DVI is the MSI K8NGM2, for which detailed specs aren't available yet. But the press release didn't say anything at all about the audio part.

Thanks, but I'll take "crappy bugriddled" nVidia over ATI's crippled southbridge and so-so drivers any day.

DVI - no check . Definitely a dealbreaker for me. dis: You're thinking of the Asus A8N-VM CSM. It's not up on the Asus site yet, but images and specs are available elsewhere. It has a bracket for TV-out, but that's a small price to pay to make room for a DVI connector. The PCIe 1x slot is at the bot...

Thanks.
I guess the new Athlon 64 3000+ 90nm would be an even better choice, but unfortunately there aren't any microATX motherboards with S939 available yet (or even announced AFAIK)..

Re: AMD mAtx underclockable mobo

Perhaps I'm blind but I just can't seem to find an underclockable AMD mAtx mobo. Been downloading mobo manuals. Most don't show the range. Anybody found one suitable for the Athlon XP-M (mobil) CPU? ggillespie11511@hotmail.com There are two. The Soltek SL-75MIV2 (VIA KM400) which goes down to 1.1V,...

Sempron 3100+, undervolt & microATX

I'm in the process of upgrading my HTPC and I want something that doesn't run much hotter than my current Celeron Tualatin 1200. I've been mostly eyeing the XP-M 35W 2400+ along with a Biostar M7NCG-400. But along comes the Sempron 3100+ which looks awfully tempting. Question is, can it be run nearl...
