Just thought I'd chime in. I installed a Scythe Ninja rev. B last night and it worked with no modding. My parts are e6300 and Asus P5B-E. The mounting bracket cleared the capacitors on the mobo by a few millimeters. I was able to slide a couple of sheets of paper between the mounted heatsink bracket...

I bit the bullet and ordered the new revision of the Scythe Ninja along with the Asus P5B-E. I figured, what the heck. I've got a perfectly good hacksaw just laying around getting dusty anyway :D. I'll just mod the bracket to fit if I run into the clearance issues that have been reported elsewhere h...

Scythe Infinity + Antec Solo --> Will it fit?
Will the Scythe Infinity fit in an Antec Solo? I was initially planning to use a Ninja to cool the e6400 I intend to buy soon. It's already been shown that the Ninja fits in an Antec Solo with no clearance issue. The motherboard will be the Asus P5B-E. This forum is littered with comments stating th...

Hi Spod, Thanks for updating this thread. I've found it useful in combating the noise in my own system. I've decided against mounting a heatsink over the chipset for the time being. Instead, the chipset fan is mounted to an external fan controller and the speed is turned down to its lowest setting. ...

Spod, I've got this same motherboard and am struggling to figure out a way to silence the northbridge. How long have you been running with the fan disconnected? I might try that myself for a while and see how it works. I haven't found any heatsinks that come with a low profile stock. I might purchas...

Thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't seen that thread in my previous search. Looks like Spod is having a tough time with that northbridge too. Does anyone have any recommendations for any low profile heatsinks for the northbridge? I did a search but am not coming up with any. I'll probably end up ...

Silencing North Bridge on MSI K8N NEO2 motherboard
After using this board for about 6 weeks now I've decided it's time to switch gears and look for ways to silence my system. I'll be adding an Arctic Cooling NV5 silencer to the 6800GT after Christmas. I'll probably replace the stock heatsink/fan with a Zalman 7000B. After that, the noisiest componen...

This is a great resource for video cards. Nice job! I thought I'd post a comment here. At the end of the VGA list posted at Thu Oct 28, 2004 12:51 pm there is the following entry: "Geforce 6800 GT Gigabyte - "GV-N68T256DH" (possible small fan? See here.)" I just built my first system last week and u...
