Thermaltake GF4 cooler?
i currently own a gainward geforce 4 ti 4600 golden sample which i believe has a higher-rpm fan than the nvidia stock gpu fan. Since my system stress temps kick up to 40 C, i doubt that i can use the zalman gpu heatpipe setup well and there is little space between the card and the case's side panel....

IAA and quiet WD 120GB Special Edition?
hey everyone, recently, i began to fiddle around with the Intel Application Accelerator program. my system includes a wd 120GB SE HD w/ 8mb cache and i noticed that IAA allows users to set the drive in three different acoustic modes from normal to least acoustical output (and lower performance). Had...

WD 120GB w/ 8MB Cache questions
hey everyone,
what is the best way to silence a Western Digital 120GB SE drive? In addition, it is to my understanding that the Dell 8200 series used this same HD--based on my familiarity with Dells, im assuming its quiet. Was is installed in any unique way? thanks

Question for Dell 8250/8200 owners...
I used to use a almost inaudible Dell Dimension 4100. After examining the features that made the system VERY quiet (i.e. ducting, plastic enclosure), I set out to build a 2.53GHz P4 system in a Dell case. Unfortunately, despite my efforts, my PC is still much louder than the Dell Dimension 4100. I t...

mike, about the zalman psu temps, i dont have a temp probe; however, if you are familiar with the Dell XPS or 4100 series midtowers (beige ones), I can say that when the psu gets stressed, you can feel the heat thru the case!!! i have a enermax 431 whisper psu and it runs really cool so i really hav...

In addition, if my cpu should be running cooler, then i would get cooler temps and my zalman psu probably wouldnt get as hot as it does. By the way, does anyone know if the Intel 850E northbridge can be passively cooled? if then, what would be the best solution? System: Palo Alto Products ATCX (Dell...

Pentium 4 2.53 GHz Temperatures
Hey everyone. I just wanted to know what P4 2.53 idle and stress temps should look like with a Alpha 8942 and a 80mm Panaflo L1A (sucking like Alpha specifies). My CPU is currently around 46-50C idle and hits around 54C during stress. Since I have been hearing around this forum of people with the sa...
