Don't know about the Globe but the Nexus fan is very quiet (I have one which now replace the stock Sonata fan). At 12V, it's already quiet... But look carefully if you need a big airflow... As Teknerd said, take a look at the recommanded list on SPCR but don't search for a Globe 120mm, it's not list...

There is a link on the Internet showing exactly what you want... But I don't think it's pretty quiet at all!... There's the monster: "Extreme Water-Cooling Using Refrigeration" - Nicholas F. Singh - 1/20/02 http://www.overclockers.com/tips798/final_open.jpg For complete instructions on how to build ...

Nexus 92mm... I ordered a Thermaltake SilentTower for one of my friends and a Nexus 92mm to replace their *noisy* 92mm fan (no way it's only 22dbA!). I usually don't like Thermaltake but since he have a Socket A motherboard, I was unable to find a fanless solution. Anyways, with the Nexus, there's n...

With a single fan (exhaust?) Yes, I just replaced the one that come with the Sonata. heck, why cant you put a GPU block on your graphics card and let the reserator do the work? I already have a GPU block on the Radeon X800XT! No way to cool this card using a passive solution! Only the northbridge i...

Is Acoustipack really safe?
Hi there! I'm planning to put AcoustiPack pre-cut kit in my Antec Sonata... The stock fan was replaced by a Nexus 120mm fan and I have a spare one in case I need to increase intake airflow... The power supply is gone and in the next days, I'll receive a brand new Phantom which I plan to put outside ...

Are you talking about "AcoustiPacks" from Acousti Products. They make standard, deluxe and pre-cut sound-dampering kits that fits inside your casing. If that's what you're looking at, follow this link to find out where you can get it in UK. There is also a review on SPCR . Sorry if I misunderstood y...

Thanks Rusty!... I was a bit confused first... It's my first try with watercooling and I really don't want to mess things up... Now I just have one last question: Should I use one of both of the products at the same time (waterwetter and Hydrx) or do I just put the waterwetter in and wait to see if ...

But, opposed to glycol-based additives, at least it doesn't hurt the water's cooling abilities. Hmmm... A bit confused here... :? I finally got my waterwetter and Swiftech HydrX stuff today (was waiting for the shipping)... On the Swiftech HydrX bottle, I can read "Contains Ethylene Glycol"... Why ...

I did some research about waterwetter. Most watercooling veterans use it as an additive to reduce corrosion. I found that link with a very good example of the waterwetter properties... http://www.water-cooling.com/articles/waterwetter/test1.jpg You see two small glasses. The left one is distilled wa...

Reserator/Athlon64 3400+/Radeon X800XT - Best coolant????
Hi there... I'm about to build my new silent watercooled system in the next days. I'm still waiting for the Phantom which hopefully will be shipped before christmas... I already have the Reserator which will cool an Athlon64 3400+ (S754) and a Radeon X800XT. I'm wondering if somebody know what's the...

Hummm... So many people talked about the NEC 2001FP, sounds it's a good monitor for work but not for gaming... I really prefer a 19" in 1280x1024, as I'm gonna use it a bit for gaming and don't want to experiment interpolation. Is there a really good 19" LCD monitor (SXGA) that have good colors and ...

The best article I've read on LCD panel technology (and I've read pretty much everything the tech enthusiast sites have published) is this one at X-bit labs I often check at Anandtech, X-Bits labs and Hardware.fr for great articles and reviews about LCDs, but I missed this one... Very good article!...

You're going to have a very quiet system appart from the graphics card The graphic card will be cooled by the gpu waterblock from Zalman so the only real noise will come from the Nexus Fan...
