You can use a fanmate from Zalman. That way you can easily control the voltage and adjust fan speed. If you have more than one fan, you can buy a multi-channel fan controller such as the ZM-MFC1.

Don't know about the Globe but the Nexus fan is very quiet (I have one which now replace the stock Sonata fan). At 12V, it's already quiet... But look carefully if you need a big airflow... As Teknerd said, take a look at the recommanded list on SPCR but don't search for a Globe 120mm, it's not list...

If you want to avoid heat buildup inside the case, you can put the fanless PSU outside the case. That's what I'm planning to do when my Phantom will be shipped. Combine that with watercooling and you have a very (but still expensive) system.
