Two other things you should check: If you see an option to enable ACPI 2.0 support in your BIOS, make sure it's enabled. Cool'n'Quiet requires ACPI 2.0 support to fully work. Some motherboards don't have this option in the BIOS. In this case, ACPI 2.0 is probably enabled by default. Make sure that t...

[CeBIT] Thermalright HR-05, Ultra-90 & Ultra-120
Thermalright unveiled 3 new coolers at CeBit: the HR-05 , the Ultra-90 and the Ultra-120 . The first one is designed to cool a chipset, while the other two are CPU coolers. There's already a thread about the HR-05 on SPCR. I couldn't find anything about the Ultra-90 and the Ultra-120 on the Internet...

Fortron will show a VGA power supply at CeBit in march 2006. The Fortron has 25A on the +12V while this Thermaltake has 21A on the +12V. Both PSU's come with 40mm screamers and fit into a 5.25" bay. Thermaltake claims that the 40mm fan @ 2000 RPM is only 20dbA! Expect this PSU to be loud! htt...

HDD coolers roundup
59H Hardware reviewed 10 different HDD coolers, including the SilentMaxx, Scythe and Zalman solutions. The noise level and HDD temperature were measured for each cooling solution. The testing protocol is described on page 2 . I'm still wondering how they managed to get more than 60dBA with this kind...

No, my system is PERFECTLY stable, it's only problem is that it's a Athlon XP 1400Mhz oc'ed to 1700Mhz and still lacking the processing power which I require - I'm doing very CPU intensive audio processing. Hmmm... I guess you're not using a K8N-E right now... This board is for socket 754, not Sock...

That CeraDyna fan really needs to be replaced, ARX Technology isn't making any quiet fan... The CoolIt pump is supposedly under 15dbA, but it's completely drowned by the fan noise.

Both companies make excellent drives. Most of the HDD's we're selling right now are made by Western Digital, and their return rates are pretty low. However, a few years ago (6 or 7 years IIRC), we had to stop buying Western Digital drives because a lot of them were DOA or failed within the first mon...
