Sorry, dont have any p...

low frequency tube traps
An idea, I wonder if it is possible to reduce the low frequency noise like they do in hifi by using tubes made of something like fiberglass. http://www.teresaudio.com/haven/traps/traps.html Ofcourse you have to make them smaller so they fit in the case but if it works that would be great, couse It's...

well, that heatsink and 120mm fan are on the CPU not the Motherboard itself. Enough jabbing, just think realistic, a motherboard simply can't have a powerconsumption 120W over all other motherboards out there without a REALLY big heatsink on the back or something. Besides there has to be some functi...

I mean, the processor overclocked = 125W (ok thats very high but...) hdd = 10W so 3 hdd = 30 DVD-drive 10-15W (aprox?) 2 Overclocked Nvidia 6800GT= 125W RAM= I dont now but some, maybe 10-15W? A total of 310W absolut max + motherboard that would ...

well, yes it is a modified 7000alcu zalman with a nexus. And I have to warn for the CoolerMaster Case because i had to make some modifications, the airflow on an unmodified case is limited to a few small holes in the bottom of the front. http://www.thetechlounge.com/reviews/cooler_master_cavalier_3/...

My first attempt for quiet pc
Well, after some work my computer really is very quiet  . Still have some things to do like a more secure hdd suspension and get a airfilter in the fron and cut the grill in the front. And attach the home-made fanmate so it is acessible from the outside of the case. http://i2.photobucket.co...

Well, i found a trashed cd-player in the garage and decided to make my own fanmate, thing about this was that it's very sensitive, but it make me take the voltage from 11.90V to 0V, I have now set the CM fan to the same sound-level as the 7000alcu nexman@~8V. I'm right now testing the sytem temps ru...

Why not go for Dual Opteron as they perform very well and has 64bit support. The price tag for a Dual Opteron system is really good actually, and for grafic-card i wouldn't go for a matrox as they produces a lot of heat, and if the system isn't going to be a gameplatform i would look for a ati radeo...

I'm not sure about the two disk drives thing, because I usualy don't record for long periods of time, and even when I do, I'm only recording on one channel. I'm really just using the sound card to record my own samples, and for MIDI. To this i can just say if you do have one hardrive for the OS and...

U will need the thermalright 120xp to cool that cpu down to just make it quiet. If you going for "near silent" you have to work really hard. And that soundcard i haven't even heard of. Though it maybe is highQ for soundrecordings as i don't know what it is. But you will need a good soundcard. I have...
