I haven't upgraded to Vista yet, but I found a comment on settings of Vista with x64 CPU in the Crystal Dew World, the developer's, site.
CrystalCPUID on Vista with x64 CPU requires the Vista booted with F8 option: Disable Driver Signature Enforcement.

According to this site NF7-S is on the list which multiplier can't be controlled by software such as CrystalCPUID, i'm afraid.

Nice job, neat cabling.
It seems that few people actually have done the hard work suspending enclosed HDDs.
But the CPU fan and the three smartdrives don't look matched to me.

Actually, it's not my idea, Pete. I read somewhere in Japanese site.
If I would transport this pc, it would take half an hour to fix this and that beforehand.

Deskstar T7K250 160GB (HDT722516DLA38) + SmartDrive My enclosed HDD vibrated the side panel when it was screwed in the 5.25" bay, so I thought I wanted to suspend them. But I haven't come up with the accepatble formation in my relatively small case(W18 D43 H42 cm) yet. They are laid on a artificial ...

Suspention, from which direction is it queiter?

Hi, I was thinking over ways to suspend HDD quieter and came down to a question; which direction does HDD vibrate? Given the rotation of platter, it's natural to think that HDD vibrates perpendicularly to the axis. If so, does it mean that the vibration is well let out when HDD is suspended from axi...

(EDIT)
I mean I agree on the effectiveness of these methods in de-coupling performance. This is a great way worth pursuing.

in japan silencing pc is not only a fad but a routine basis when building pcs recently, however, i too can't find the counterpart in japan. that's why i'm here. But we have infamous 'the 2-channel' enormous bulletin board, which contains oodles of disgraceful and/or nonsense postings. I assume that ...

This upperside-exhaust-layout surely looks effective to lower temps in the case, taking advantage of convection.
The HD might be getting a bit cooler if it were hung under the 12cm top fan ?
As to ghetto i think it is in the initial stage, besides covering the panel will resolve it virtually. :D

People tend to be oversensitive to what they found irritating. Have been obsessed with pc noises, I would want to eradicate them. But point is what made me run into this situation. I guess the noises of fast and small rotators(fans/HDs) include particular frequency that bugs human unlike natural noi...

The airflow direction is toward the motherboard. I intended to make a vacuum pressure on the meshed face and cause the airflow through the PSU. I assumed that the narrow space closed up with the case panel and the cover which is folding the fan in would generate much vacuum pressure. And I widened t...

Hi there. I found an interesting site associated with this thread, although it's Japanese. The current through 3.3V/5V/12V is measured with digital multi-meter and clamp-probe to gauge approx CPU power consumption. Motherboard is MSI K8T Neo2-FIR for Athlon 64 3200+ (Winchester core). Clock/voltage ...
