I recieved the 80mm Zalman fan and ZM-MC1 yesterday and installed them, plus my spare 92mm Zalman fan last night. I placed the 80mm fan as the exhaust, but I couldn't figure out how to mount the 92mm fan as an intake, so for now it (and 2 other 92mm Zalmans) are mounted on a Zalman bracket pointing ...

The PSU is a quiet pc 300w, but it was very noisy as the case was so hot that it ran at full speed all the time. I have the same problem with the quietpc 400W PSU- it's running at full speed due to the temperature (sub 50 degrees Celsius, 1.4Ghz T-bird, Zalman CPS6000), and is the main source of no...

Actually, on a slightly more serious note than my post above, I've just (this minute) recieved my new Microsoft Wireless Pro Keyboard (and optical Mouse) and the keyboard action noise is a lot quieter than my old keyboard. Any quieter and I think you'd lose the sonic feedback that makes it easier to...

do you have a link to a picture of it? Unfortunately, I don't :( . It's a bog standard 4 X 5.25" bay ATX tower case, side intakes and a rear exhaust beneath the PSU. I'm going to order my new parts sometime on Monday- If I'm going to use the cable adapter to run two fans, do I need a fan-speed cont...

Thanks for the replies, GamingGod :D . And wait a sec, am I under standing that you dont have any fans blowing air directly out of the case (exhaust)? Yes, exactly that. I had bought a fan to serve as an exhaust fan, but, figuiring bigger was better, I bought a 92mm one which has been left out becau...

Re: Quiet!
Would adding a third venting fan help, by lessening the need for the PSU fans to spin so quickly (I'd need a new motherboard, if that's the case, or some way to run an extra fan from the motherboard). I've found an adapter that allows you to run more fans (the Zalman Fan Multi-Connector Cable ZM-MC...

easy solution, get a new power supply, the nexus one seems to be the new favorite around here. But I've just bought one that's 'supposed' to be silent (Q-technology), and it wasn't cheap! I don't want to buy a Nexus one and find that the fans on that one are going full speed due to the temp. inside...
