Semi Passive A64 Rig

Hello there well I've been coming to SPCR For nearly a Year now and I've spend a good few hundred Pound on PC silencing and have had about 3 different versions of my PC in that time, not so much in different hardware but just getting it slicker and quieter. I’m pretty happy with what I've got now ...

nope, if you were to Go for SLI or Crossfire then i would say think about upgradeing but it will be able to run any graphics card i know of, as long as your not going to be running hundreds of Hard drives.

I would say go for an Athlon 64 in a HTPC an Athlon 64 3200+ would be fine but the fastest is the Athlon 64 FX57. And personally I don’t think it matter that much which Motherboard you go for i know there are differences but as long as it has all the connections you want and a passive chipset then...

You could try getting some Heatsinks for them, the RamSinks that you can get for Graphics cards work verry well aparantly http://www.silentpcreview.com/article595-page2.html And when you say PWM do you meen VRM? (PWM=Pulse Width Modulation)(VRM=voltage regulator module)

RPM monitor cable?? did you just hook the RPM signal cable into a 3 pin connector and plug it in? i don't think that'll work, you need 2 wires goign in to reliably detect the rpm i think... VF900 RPM not showing in Speed fan

Hey there I've modded my VF900 power cable by having it plugged into a 3pin plug that splits into a 2pin plug which is plugged into the Graphics card and a 3pin with the RPM monitor cable going into the motherboard. Well Speed fan picks this up when the fan is running at full but anything under full...

Personaly i would say it realy doesnt matter which one you choose, if you are useing it in a car any 2.5" drive would be more than quiet enough and if you are useing for video/audio any of them would have enough preformance for you, so i say just go for the cheepest one.

Probably the easiest thing to do is to snip off the connector from the end of the stock fan, strip about 5mm of the wire on the end of the connector, and thread the whole thing into the outside sockets on the Zalman (I think the middle wire is just for RPM measurments, they're all colour-coded anyw...

Connecting 3-Pin Zalman to 2-Pin Graphics card

Well im just wondering what you think the easiest way of connecting the 3-pin Fan on the Zalman VF900-Cu to the 2-pin header on my 6600GT would be.

I know it’s not completely necessary but I like to control the speeds with RivaTuner. And I can have a wider variety of speeds then too.
