Re: Help Building a Quiet Eyefinity Gaming PC
Those two GPUs are going to be the main source of heat and noise in any system. With the 90° flip you have less of a worry about the bottom card heating up the upper card. And heat convection is slightly better. Now going water cooling will net you lower noise, with the right setup, but will push th...

Re: Which PWM, CPU or Specialty Fan do you Want SPCR to Revi
San Ace fans are every where here in Tokyo Japan . If SPCR requested a few for the next fan round up I wouldn't mind buying a few samples and shipping them.

Re: Picking a heatsink for i5-2500K @ 4.5GHz
I considered the Silver Arrow, but due to price and size and similar performance, I favored the Archon. Was that a bad decision? Either way, it looks like my case will be either a CM 690 II Advanced or a Fractal Design Arc Midi. Both of those should fit either the Archon or the Silver Arrow. Does a...

Re: What I have Learned about Computer Performance from SPCR
By the way, if anyone thinks this is a result that I am hoping for they would be sadly mistaken. Once Intel succeeds in killing of its competition, it will alter its behavior and we will all lose. Even people who never by AMD... Especially people who never buy AMD. Intel will never kill off AMD com...

Re: Picking a heatsink for i5-2500K @ 4.5GHz
I've got Thermalright SilverArrow on my i5 2500k OCed @4.6 GHz, and the fans barely move. It's only when I've been gaming for a few hours that the fans start up (a little I can hear) and that is because of my GTX580 pumping heat and heating up the room :P. Which can be a bit noisy with the airflow. ...

Re: Undervoltable Motherboards: ADD to the list!!
ASRock P67 Pro3 MB is undervoltable, but is an enthusiastic board. Not very expensive though. Only gripe I have is with my specimen I can't use my high quality headphones (use good quality speakers instead) because I get the analog lousy connection background noise :(. Np with the speakers though, g...

Iceland Since 1930 there has been a naming commission that has the final say if a name is allowed or not. There is a database on currently allowed names. Only Icelandic names that can be proven to be Icelandic can be used. Which in my point is how it should be, and even with these restrictions I hav...

I for one am very grateful that this community exists. I have sensitive hearing, but I had resigned myself to noise since I thought there was no alternative. Once bought "quite" cpu fan some years ago, more damn noise than the old one -_- Through this community and the work they have done I have man...

Re: You should check out the LED backlit LCD's
Note, there are two types of LED backlight. EDGE and FULL. EDGE is as it word is, only backlit from the edge of the scree. Cheaper and super thin. But not that great. FULL is when you get the backlight over every cm of the screen. EXPENSIVE :) but awsome. The nature of LCD is that you need quite a l...

Not so long a ago Panasonic just opened up a brand new Plasma TV factory, so no it isn't going anywhere :). Power use of the plasma tv's are going down with every generation. And the Panasonic brand is one of the best, since they put quality first (with in reason) and you pay for it. Edit: Plasma li...
