Is this the best I can get for 400 Euros?

It's ACER Aspire ES1-533-P561:

RAM - 8GB
CPU - Intel Pentium N4200
Screen 15.6", 1920*1080 resolution
SSD - 256GB
Wireless 802.11ac

It would be used for Internet, Office, Excel, but I don't want it to lag in any of the tasks...

Re: SilverStone KL07: Perfect case?

Not perfect because it's not mATX.

I'm done unnecessarily wasting space with mid-towers.

Define Mini C is the only superb option right now.

Re: AM4 MBOs seem rather flimsy

I'm not sure if I understand the RAM situation correctly, it says here that it supports 3200GHz DDR4, yet in the table there is no mention of that frequency.

Also, SR just means that you can put just a single stick RAM?

Just checked here, 8GB 3200 DDR4 sticks don't even exist.

AM4 MBOs seem rather flimsy

So, it's pretty obvious that Ryzen CPUs completely destroys all Intel CPUs when it comes to rendering and various other non-gaming functions. It's not even a contest. Which I really need because I use Maya a lot. And all of that for 3-4 times less price. But, not a single ASUS mATX board has more th...

Smartphone rooting

After checking all available options, this is the only one that would get rid of all that horrid pre-installed software.

The smartphone in question is:

- Sony Xperia Z3
- Model: d6616
- Android Version: 5.0.2 (23.1.c.0.399)

Does anyone have a sure way to safely root it, the phone is brand new.

Btw, why does it say that PSUs with ATX cable are semi-modular, since you can't do anything without that cable.

It doesn't make any sense.

I presume all of those are as quiet since we are on silentpc forum?

Btw, there is no need to go over 500W, even if the GPU is 250W?

be quiet! Straight Power 10 500W CM is pretty great from all I've read, except the price.

Is there an alternative that is not so expensive?

There is no reason to think that the latest Scythe Mugen 5 would not be the best option.

Scythe has a great track record for quality and silence.

It is so stupid of them to release only 4k HDR monitors when we know that it is almost impossible to run games at that resolution and at high setting at 60fps, let alone at 144 or 120.

This will not change any time soon.

What happens if you get a 4k monitor but run it at 1440p instead?

As HDR monitors are coming out, they are all 4k, at least those with Gsync.

Re: Nano S vs Mini C?

It turns out that ITX MBOs are very expensive and have less slots and features, despite being more expensive.
I don't think it would be even possible to have a sound card(like ASUS STX II) along with high-end GPU on it.

So, Mini C would be the way to go.

Nano S vs Mini C?

They are practically the same size except that Nano S has included 140mm front fan, while Mini C has a 120mm front fan. The other difference is that Nano S has shorter, 162mm CPU cooler clearance. Still, Nano S is cheaper, and no need to buy two 140mm fans, instead just one extra. Which one would yo...

Yes, I tried to install Asrock OC tuner, none of the versions work with Windows 10.

So, if I set the speed to 6, it will still ramp up to 9 if the threshold gets to 55C?

Noisy CPU fan

I set the CPU fan in BIOS on automatic - level 9 - to run when CPU temp gets to 55C.

However, the CPU runs almost all the time at a temp lower than 35C, but the fan is always at max level, which creates a lot of unnecessary noise.
How can I fix this?
