if the fan noise is escaping from rear/side hole, you could build a tube, sound proofed with a "air chicane" in and stick that on the hole in question :)

ive used foam from packaging. its ok, its free, so stuff it in :). Ive got a suspision accousti pack covers all the bases well, and isnt too bad value for money

ive looked into it a little bit, as people have said "you can get much better and cheaper than aqusti pack"... you either need to buy huge quantities, or postage costs, or labour costs (your own) for trimming/assembing the stuff, plus organisational hassle :( cost is a big issue for me as im unemplo...

ive got 2 120mm papst i think, AC fans, there noisey from what i remmber, u could hook them up to a light dimmer to reduce the rpm i guess :)

if you pay postage u can have them, where do u live? :)

did the soundproofing smell? when ive used it in the past it stank, i used to buy it way before use and stick it in the conservatory which we dont use to air for a few weeks :lol:

Just found the pics i took ages ago of a mod i did to my psu, which didnt void the warrenty :o, thats because the warrenty void sticker either wasnt there, or wasnt stuck over where 2 panels join :) The theory trying to minimise the restrictions on intake to the fan, to lower the noise, and gain CFM...
