Well I bumped my PC up to 4 ghz, slight increase in Vcore CPU voltage, to 1.11 vs 1.13 stock, and afew other settings, and had to decrease the ram multiplier so they ran at 1186 mhz or so, instead of 1:1 with the bus speed to keep them stable. They are rated at 1600mhz, but because I'm using 2 sets ...

I received the case today and it looks really nice! Build quality is very good as expected. Very solid case Enough space inside. Yes a bit deep and somewhat heavy though. I like how the front panel connectors are unified, instead of the split end ones in my Antec Sonata. It has no speaker connection...

Silverstone Fortress FT-03 and Raven 3

Oh man, I just ordered and payed for an FT-02 two days ago
But it doesn't seem to be an improved sequel, it's a different thing altogether! Much like the others in the Fortress and Raven series

Noctua NH-D14 rotate?

Can you rotate the Noctua NH-D14 so it faces up when installed in a P183 case?

I'm planning on building a positive pressure P183 system with the NH-D14

well if a PCS is quiet in a passive system, then it is quiet period :)

The Vapor-x is an overclocked version of the Toxic, so it won't be quiet

The PowerColor 5850 PCS+ might be a good alternative 24+ idle, 32+ under load in a passive system and open case. 5870 PCS+ is at 26.7 idle, and 31.6 load Shut the case and it's going to be a lot quieter. As a point of reference, they also reviewed the HIS HD Radeon 5870 iCooler V Turbo and had it at...

The motherboard tray has a cutout section under the CPU area for easy heatsink swapping - nice!

OCZ recently unveiled their latest range of Solid State Drives (SSD), aiming to hit the balance between cost and performance. it would be wise to add some curves to the horizontal bits to aid aerodynamic airflow, but a good idea in any case :)

you might run into resonance issues though... I mean speakers with transmission tunnels use it to amplify the bass....

I just installed an 8800GTX in my new E6600 rig. Though it's not an ultra, I think it's safe to say that it's pretty close. The 8800GTX is *quiet* when idling. To give you an idea, I have a modded P180B, with 4x 120 S-flex E fans running at 50%, E6600 @3.2GHz /SpeedStep:2.1GHz, with Thermaltake Ult...

looking at the TDP of the Penryn based Xeon quads...I think I will go E6750 now, skip the cheap G0 stepping Q6600, and then get a cheap Yorkdale Quad after the socket 775 has been retired...this would be the sane thing to do  The pricing is real good too! http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?...

there is a new G0 stepping of the Q6600 due out at the end of the month or early August this is 10 degrees cooler TDP wise 95w I think or you can wait till the Yorkdale quads which will be at the end of the year - which will run even cooler, faster but be more expensive or wait of AMD's quads as well
