Good call!!! This is probably the card for me too. I would love to think that my budget will stretch to their fanless 6800, but something tells me not. I'll hold out for a review to see how these things perform. After all, some of those 6800s can be converted into the GT models. Although, even after...

It's different for different people. My old Chemistry teacher has asbestos fingers, he reckons he can hold stuff up to 60C My limit is in the region of 45-50C iirc. I must confess to it being some time since I have been sufficiently immature to test this out ;) (I'll let you build the mental picture...

Sounds like great news to me. Normally TT don not make good stuff, but it seems like this good be a nice exception :D I'm all for fanless GPU's. It looks like this one may even work on a 6800GT (given that the GT has similar thermal dissipation to the 9800 Pro). Unfortunately, given its shape, I do ...

Retiring a noisey drive to an external enclosure sounds like a great plan. The fact that it is noisey will remind you to turn off the drive in the enclosure :) After all, you do not want it on all the time, or your backups will not be as well protected against viruses. I've just installed 3 drive en...

Cool, it will be nice to know how you get along with those. I've just managed to work out that my Silentmax drive enclosures are not compatibile with my case. I've also worked out that the screws they supplied do not screw into the lugs that they supplied. It may sound like a small problem, but it j...

I'll second that, not that I need to given that the previous post was by the AntecRep :) It is unpleasant and sometimes quite disconcerting. The previous advice has been to run your machine flat out, open a window and then go out for the day. The heat that your machine will generate should "burn off...

An expensive option is to consider using Silent Max drive enclosures. These also make an attempt to decouple your drives from your case by use of 4 soft large rubber blocks. The HDD is placed inside the enclosure, and then the enclosure is screwed into your 5 1/4 bay. This leaves you free to move th...

Maybe I'm just being an optomist, but specs can be wrong. I know its rare that ppl underclaim for their products, but there is still a chance that they will be quieter than we are now expecting. They are intending to make a 500Gb model, so perhaps the figures that have been quoted are for that drive...

Yeah, I was thinking that there was potential for the fanless heatsink on a GT model. I think what I am after is a GT model as they seem to be an awful lot faster than the standard model (according to Toms Hardware). Saying that, the fan on the heatsink maybe extremely quiet, then again of course, i...

Oh :(, bugger. Life is never easy is it ?? Speaking of life. I've recently got my, wait for it, 3rd Asus A78nX-Deluxe Rev 2 mobo. This one is not capable of producing any sound. Nothing out of either analog or digital. The first one died due to coil whine issues around the AGP slot, the second ones ...
